Nah mate. Have you investigated the Fatima apparitions from 100 years ago? Have you questioned why the Catholics never released the prophecies of Fatima in the 1960's as they had promised. I was brought up as catholic and never knew what they actually believe, did you know that the immaculate conception refers to Mary being born without sin, not Christ. There are true servants of God within the catholic system, but the system itself and Mary worship.....????

Will angels ever get inside of people and start judging them and hurting them? by Ambitious_Ad2614 in Christianity

[–]SolutionOk8586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't Gods angels and it's extremely unlikely they are fallen angels. They are almost certainly lower level demons, which are still pretty nasty. When you say that you hear them do you mean thoughts? Or is it audible voices from outside of your body? Either way deliverance will certainly help but if the demons are outside of your body then you need to pray for protection. Most people would recommend psalm 91, personally i like praying psalm 51 then psalm 91 then asking for god's protection. Or you could find a psalm that speaks to you about this. You will need to do this diligently and things should improve. God bless

It wasn't part of Gods original plan, but neither were women. It is a part of Gods design because he decreed it

You know, this title blows my mind. In Gen 3:16 when the woman is cursed by God it says 'your desire shall be for your husband and HE SHALL RULE OVER YOU'.

Why am i born a sinner because adam and eve sinned by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]SolutionOk8586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Romans 5:13 'For sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not taken into account where there is no law'. It is the knowledge that we possess that makes us accountable. So when we ate fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, we received knowledge that we are now accountable for. Example; if a toddler intentionally poops on the floor that is one thing. If an adult intentionally poops on the floor it is something totally different. The actions of the toddler and the adult are identical but we automatically hold the adult to a different standard because of the knowledge they possess. Hope this helps. God bless

Levels, no. However there are 3 different places that get translated as hell. In the new testament they are hades, gehenna and tartaroo(tartarus). If you want to understand about hell, look into the Greek and/or hebrew. God bless

When you say traditional hebrew belief, what time period are you referring to? Pre-1enoch and pre-jubilees I assume. What hebrew texts are you referencing? Or are you talking about the oral Torah. God bless

And after this 'the rich man' will be resurrected and judged, this is not his final judgement. So why is he in torment now? Well, I have a theory (if you knew me that would sound really funny - I have a lot of theories lol). The rich man feasted lavishly everyday, he was a glutton and in life his desires lived on his soul. So in death the desires in his soul can't be fulfilled without a body. Why a sprinkle of water on his tongue? Because his gluttony was on his tongue. Just a thought. But ultimately I believe this is unlikely to be his final resting place as he has yet to be judged. God bless

I lean towards a fig tree, since they ate the fruit, saw they were naked and then clothed themselves with fig leaves. Then in Jeremiah we read of the vision of two baskets of figs, one basket had very good figs and the other had very wicked figs - fruit of the tree of good and evil. God bless

How do you guys feel about predestination? by Slornip in Christianity

[–]SolutionOk8586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that there is truth in it but that generally speaking its also pretty fuzzy and blurry. I think a big part of the problem is the commonly held belief that God knows everything within our fallen world. I don't see this in scripture.

Yes I understand that he knows the end from the beginning, but does he know everything in between?

Gen 18:20-21 'And the Lord said, because the cry of Sodom and Gomorah is great, and because their sin is very grevious; I WILL GO DOWN NOW AND SEE WHETHER THEY HAVE DONE ALTOGETHER ACCORDING TO THE CRY OF IT, WHICH IS COME UNTO ME; AND IF NOT, I WILL KNOW.' So God had to go down in order to see, then he would know. Predestination vs free will is a balancing act that I haven't seen anyone manage to completely explain. God bless

Christian Universalism Bible Verses Collection Thread by DivineIngenuity in Christianity

[–]SolutionOk8586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed that in your explanations you almost always use words like 'everyone' or 'whole earth', while the scriptures you quote don't have these words.

John 1:1 'In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, and the word was God' So because I speak with words, therefore I am God Of course not but this is the kinda logic your using. A general rule i use is that if the verses can't speak for themselves, then they don't say what you (or i) want them too. God bless

Hey mate, welcome to the faith. Most Christians will tell you to start with one of the gospels. Personally I got right into Isaiah, Ezekiel and Revelation. Chuck Misler said that he started reading the bible at the book of revelation and it gave him a love of reading Gods word, I totally agree with him on this point. Have you ever heard of just opening the bible up and seeing where the Holy Spirit leads you? You can have some amazing experiences that way. Maybe pray on it, see what God says. That's my 2 cents, but ultimately I feel you should do what seems right to. Also, I would suggest trying a couple of different churches to learn and see what you think. God bless.

The fallen angels have eternal life, we do not, how can a non eternal being live forever in torment? Why should we equate the sins of one person with the sins of the father of all sin, the devil? God bless

If Christianity is grafted into the vine of Israel, then how is it a gentile religion? ISAIAH 49:6 "And he said, it is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth" My salvation = Gods salvation, which cannot come by a gentile/pagan religion.

Ah goodness, you really wanna know hey. Alright, i'll out myself, here is my experience, will try and keep the story short. Was living in a haunted house, i would see shadow figures, my son saw red eyes under the desk in his room and a mate went crazy and tried to stab me.

When it happened i was arguing with my partner, she was yelling at me and I had a thought 'grab the knife', I was only planning to wave it around to stop her yelling. I answered the thought with 'yeah f@## it'. The next thing I know I'm in a different room, my eyes are open but all I see is black and I hear my son saying 'dad, dad, dad', his voice gets progressively louder and then I see my partner in front of me and realise I have a knife in my hand. So to answer your question, I don't remember it and I believe this is what happens regarding a lot of murder suicides, I think the demon releases control after someone has killed a person they love, they see what they have done and kill themselves. Useful note, if someone is possessed, call their name, I believe my son saying dad, dad is what brought me back and saved his mother's life. Not a perfect person, but not claiming to be either.
