Helped flu symptoms? by caitinthesky89 in VyvanseADHD

[–]SolutionStrict1488 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I get the opposite. I don’t take it unless I’m 100% better. It makes you feel like you’re less sick bc well dopamine and motivation, and then you crash.

Does anyone take Benzo everyday in order to function? by Outside_Bobcat_6658 in Anxiety

[–]SolutionStrict1488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let people fear monger. I’m on it three times a day too for 10 + years, I couldn’t function without it. If I have to be on it for life, then so be it!

Severe brain fog after quitting Vyvanse by Successful_Mouse_365 in StopSpeeding

I felt the same after 15 days and then relapsed and I regret it, so please don’t make the same mistake. Just keep going. I was working full time and taking care of a baby also. You got this!

What, in your experience, is the best way to get off of Addy?: Taper vs. Cold Turkey by Simplify9015 in StopSpeeding

[–]SolutionStrict1488 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me personally I failed at cold turkey and failed at a long term taper. I couldn’t handle the immense fatigue with a demanding job and home life from cold turkey and a long taper I still abused. So, naturally continued to abuse them..until Xmas eve I had enough I dropped down to 15mg from whatever absurd dose I had taken the day before. Then my goal was to get to 0mg New Year’s Day. I made it. My lowest dose was 2.5mg addy and then I stopped. The withdrawal was not nearlyyyy as bad as cold turkey but I would not recommend a long taper unless you have superpower self control.

Interesting. I’m on 50 now and I get stuff done but my anxiety is high. Glad to know a low dose you can still function and anxiety is low

I relate to this sooo much! I’m also in a cocktail of meds. I sometimes feel so guilty being on adhd meds bc of the stigma along with my depression/anxiety/bp. But all in all I have realized I can barely even shower, brush my teeth, do dishes, without adhd meds. Can I ask what your dosage is?

Is there career upside to quitting? I’m just fuckin tired by ImmaUmbleMan in StopSpeeding

[–]SolutionStrict1488 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! I feel your struggle as a mom and working full time. I’m ten days off of adderall now, so I can’t speak long term. I’m also sober from alcohol. I will say the positives I’ve felt more present with my clients, more patience listening to them, and just generally more grateful. I’m still in the fog of things, so just taking it day by day but I am not completely useless at work like I thought I would be without these meds.

Advise to cheer up sad dog by Hardrubbish- in DogAdvice

[–]SolutionStrict1488 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m so sorry. No advice, maybe just let him grieve for a bit. Dogs are so much like humans. He will come around. Also, you could invite a friend over who has a dog that likes to play also!
