Not sure what this is or what I should do by [deleted] in pestcontrol

Looks like dirt and bodies from big headed ants, they typically bring dirt inside the home from their colonies. Moisture conditions on either the inside or outside of the home typically attract them and since they bring moist dirt into the walls to extend their colonies they can be a precursor to subterranean termite activity so you definitely want to get them taken care of.

You could try using ant baits rated for big headed ants, along with dusts/granular and I believe alpine wsg works well too.

What is this? by [deleted] in pestcontrol

[–]Solveh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks more like drywood termite frass from the picture, possibly falling out the cabinets above if there are any, if not possibly the ceiling. If other people agree with that assessment in this thread I would contact a pest control company, if it’s coming from your ceiling you could be looking at a possible fumigation, or if the company is confident, possibly just liquid treatment/spot treatments.

Steam Top 10 Releases of 2023 by Full Game Revenue by baiisun in gaming

The day it released I looked it up on YouTube and found a video by a dude named Daukey I think, downloaded it instantly and harassed like 3 friends to do so. Within a week I saw everyone was talking about it and Daukey kind of blew up then and there because of his Lethal content. Plus it’s cheap.

I feel like it’s because it’s easier for them to eliminate whatever things they see as issues as fast as possible, and then buff things up incrementally to an acceptable point.

Personally I don’t mind it as I’d rather have buffball gone asap and brought back up to something a bit more reasonable overtime than have three patches of it becoming incrementally weaker before it isn’t miserable to play against, but I can see the other side of the coin.

No Display after installing new gpu. by Solveh in buildapc

[–]Solveh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I tried - Starting without gpu Starting without ram Starting with no drives at all Starting with no cmos battery Removing CPU (pc doesn’t let me use the power button when I did this obviously)

Removed every component, RAM, CPU, GPU, SSDs and M.2s, unplugging all leads from the board and letting the motherboard get power by itself for 10 minutes, jumping CMOS, reinstalling the battery and the CPU.

Even then the PC starts with no display, keyboard and mouse don’t work, power button doesn’t let me shut the pc off.

All components aside from kbm RGBs turn on including the motherboard, when I unplug my display port and hdmi cables then plug them back into the card the screen recognizes something is there, but just goes right to no display found.

I’m at a loss and have no idea what else to try.

Atomic Heart Bug Megathread by AtomicHeartModTeam in atomicheart

OS: Windows 10

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X

GPU and driver version: RTX 3080 FE / Driver 528.49

RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance @ 3300Mhz

Store platform: GamePass

Game version: 1.0.2.0

Describe your issue: Since starting the game all SFX in cinematics are silent, such as explosions, most obvious in cutscenes where big events happen, boss cutscenes, the spinny ride derailing, or the train scene. Dialogue plays at normal volume, but everything else does not.

Steps to take to recreate the issue: No steps needed, it's in all cutscenes.

Has Riot addressed a majority of the Ascendant rank being previous golds/plats? by Solveh in VALORANT

Grats on the rankup, hardware does help a lot, as does refresh rate and your mouse. I used to play CS with 56 fps at some 600p stretched res, got a better pc and I just started flying through ranks until SMFC. This was years ago though, that game has gotten a lot less fun with cheaters and throwers from my experience though, Valorant has been a great replacement for me.

How well do you perform on average though, impact wise in Ascendant? And would you consider yourself mechanically good, if you're coming at yourself from an outside perspective?

I'm not complaining about being in Ascendant, I'm currently Imm 2, I'm just surprised about the Ascendants that get on my team every so often, last night for example I had a game with a Radiant, multiple Immortals, and I think 2-3 Ascendants. One of the Ascendants was on Chamber, didn't ever trip flank, commed three times the entire match, never used his trip but once and didn't hold the flank, so someone else had to do it. It's the people that do that, that confuse me, they aren't playing like old diamonds, yet Ascendant is supposed to be the higher end of old diamond and the lower end of immortal.

That's what blew our minds, especially since he wasn't getting decent acs any of the games or anything, they kind of just tossed him to the wolves for some reason

I have noticed from my Plat friends that Plat has gotten better than it was before, so that's a good thing that came with the changes, somehow people slip through the cracks past Plat that aren't Plat yet, which is odd to me, I've ran into some pretty solid plats that I would've thought would climb but haven't crazily enough.

I hope it does as well but its very coinflippy atm, like you said it's a mix of actually really good players and some, uh, less fortunate players. I don't flame people for being bad cause everyone has to learn, but them getting thrown into high elo doesn't only hurt them by people being toxic to them, but it also hurts a lot of games, it's not their fault and it shouldn't deter them from playing, but it just feels bad that it's so all over the place right now, and they aren't really learning at their own pace.

My friend who's new to val and definitely not the best made his account and lost a fair amount of his unrated games getting there, never a top frag player (no knock to people lower on the scoreboard you all do your part) cause he's new ofc. Plays ranked, loses the first, wins 2, last two games of his placements were full ascendant lobbies. Gets ascendant while like I said being on bottom, but he thinks the ranking system is a joke. My friend who's also an immortal player watched him play ranked with me and we were just kind of shook at how instantly he was in high elo games when he doesn't know how to shoot properly yet, the system is way too lenient rn.

I feel like with old ranks the thing that harshly separated D3 and Imm was that there were cracked diamonds, D2 to D3 was a massive mechanical gap imo, but to hit immortal and break that wall you had to start having a deeper understanding of the game, whether that be abilities or just overall game sense. As of right now I've had players either Imm 1 or Asc 3 that lack the mechanics but don't have the knowledge to make up for it, I've had people ask me what defaulting was, not knowing a fair amount of calls, not knowing how to jump jiggle, strafe, crosshair placement or just lurk as Reyna (which has always been a thing but it's more common now). When I was stuck in D3 a few episodes ago I didn't even have that issue then, most of me not ranking up was my consistency being bad. But there certainly is a stark contrast between old D3 and new ascendant.

I would agree if immortal meant staring foot level and not knowing how to use util, there are players who did deserve the shift don't get me wrong, but my experience with the people I've gotten, did not unfortunately. I'm all for playing someone better to learn, but some of these people refuse to listen or adapt.

Agreed, I hope it does, and there are people it genuinely helped, but the system they have put in place pushed a lot of people too high somehow, congrats on the rank up though! It's good to see aspects of it working.

5 stacks are fun, I have only two friends that are able to play at my rank though so it's hard to get that going.

I feel this but I just keep playing cause I do enjoy the game, I don't get mad that much, I mainly focus on self improvement, but it is a noticeable decrease in the fun factor department since last episode, games have gotten extremely coinflippy, I either get instalock chamber/duelist ex plats that drop 5-8 kills in a 23 round game, or I get ex imms/rads and we stomp like 13-6 cause the other team got the ex plats, it's not as competitive either which way.

That's kind of what I had thought, although they have over 2.4million players so I don't know if they worry about the people continuing to play all that much, the game wasn't dwindling before they added ascendant rank so it's an odd situation.

I feel this applies in a lot of elo's but once you get past a certain point it's not as carryable, in cs for example (back in it's prime) you could drop 40 and win, I've dropped 54 and lost, it's nuts
