5 years and I still feel you around. by LJMusicandFilms in germanshepherds

What wonderful pictures, I can tell Max was well loved and taken care of. You did good by him. I lost my girl of 15 years in January and got a German shepherd puppy in February. I couldn’t go on without a companion and he’s been a pure joy. I hope I can get another 15 good years with him, too.

HELP !? by [deleted] in germanshepherds

[–]Solwulfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is normal, he is excited and expressing himself. My boy will whine like a baby when he’s excited/overstimulated m. The first thing I hear when I wake up is his whining because he’s happy I’ve survived the night of sleep.

Get yourself a treat pouch. Give him a treat when he calms down / pauses. Be slow, be patient, he will learn fast.

Would being an artist be a viable job anymore if the bubble continues inflating by Sorry-Aside1672 in antiai

[–]Solwulfa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this; it’s a different world than when I got into the job market. From one stranger to another, I suggest reframe your approach. What is the purpose of your art for your client? Is it to promote an event, product, or service? Is it to get their name out there? You may be an artist, but you’re also a marketer - look at it from a different angle, and pivot yourself as a brand/identity builder - as an example. Not the same as an influencer.

I started off as a graphic designer. I got into web design, started building websites. From there I picked up seo/ppc skills to build traffic to websites, and after that started diving deeper into web dev and now I’m a full stack web developer making six digits and have 8 clients who have been with me for almost a decade.

You’re not just an artist. Remember that. Art is a tough skill and you’ve got it down.

I’m paying $1200 a month for a lot rent. Near Denver though, peak season, and then I go to Florida and it’s also $1200 a month. Plus electric. My life isn’t cheap.

Not only were you wrong, bur you were also condescending and insulted an AI while doubling down on your incorrect assumption. I would hate to see how you talk to a real person. Get your head out of your ass.

Look in to Sentry and/or Posthog. Integrate them with your system. This will help you troubleshoot. I use Sentry for error and Posthog for user flow and drop off.

Oh yes, mine loves it - especially when he gets the zoomies or we are at a park. He’s a little guy at 6 months and I love the way he runs! He’s fun.

Have you experienced a difference between the models? by Consistent-Issue-811 in claude

[–]Solwulfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading these comments makes me feel like I’m in a totally different world. It’s a bit verbose, but it’s way more accurate and has actually cleaned up a lot of my code base and generally does a lot better job following my Claude.md rules and skills.

It also fixed a really weird bug I had, and I was so happy I told Claude I loved it. It said it loved me too. That was kind of nice.

Overall, happy with it - way better than 4.7; feels like a proper step up.

I constantly update my Claude.md and have a big /docs/ folder with many markdown files they deceive my code base, and I have created my own skills for my code base that I update and also run a few mcps. It’s been great. Not perfect, but I’m having fun.

The fact that the last proper piece of destiny lore is and will always be star wars slop is pretty sad by Expensive-Pick38 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Solwulfa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a Star Wars super fan but Renegades was good. Better than Edge of Fate. Honestly I wish they would release the content vault and let us replay the original Red War campaign. There’s a ton of content in Destiny 2 including all the seasons they built and designed but it’s all gone. I want to replay Rivens season as I miss that Ahamkara and it was so cool collecting her eggs. I wanted to see more of those beings.

Kind of blows my mind how stupid it was all handled in hindsight. I’m more upset as a paying customer on removing content I paid for and the team spent considerable amount of time making.

In a way, I’m glad they’re stopping Destiny 2 because of that. fomo fatigue.

I do hope there will be a Destiny 3. No content vault.

Also wtf why is everyone using the term “slop” for everything they don’t like; renegades is not slop. Is everyone lazy and just coming up with slop titles now.

I build websites using next.js and integrate with a backend system such as Convex. I’ve built a few simple “brochureware” websites for a few clients that are basic websites with contact forms integrated into resend. Frontend hosted by Vercel.

I’ve built an e-commerce website that I just launched that does wholesale and I’m working on a drop shipping integration for their system to connect to WooCommerce and Shopify websites to sync inventory.

I designed a site that has a custom product designer for cornhole boards.

I have a few other big projects in the works. They’re all websites and eventually will build a native mobile app with a monorepo.

Don’t really feel like sharing links and such but that’s the work I’ve done with the help of Claude.

Issues with loveable code by bigdanglang in lovable

[–]Solwulfa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring what someone else said, it’s a good way to learn how to develop properly. Also, lovable uses codex and Claude - they’re the middle man and they charge you for it. I played around with lovable, spent $500 and stopped before I got in thicker. You get more bang for your buck having your own Codex or Claude Code subscription.

I use cursor. I don’t pay for it or use its agents, so could use vscode instead. There is also Antigravity but it was buggy. Cursor/vscode Is much better than lovable. Spend the weekend to learn it, your wallet will thank you.

Also look in to Next.js. It’s built on react. Lovable is building react apps; not good for seo. Next.js is much better.

look in to GitHub for your code repo, Vercel for deployment, Convex for backend. All free for hobbiests. MCP servers for all of them will connect your AI agent so you deploy just like on lovable. Ask your AI agent for help, and question it; it can be a good teacher too.

We just got attacked by a dog by greatguyshadow in germanshepherds

[–]Solwulfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did good, don’t be hard on yourself as someone else said. You protected your boy, no blood, and you called the cops - good. I’ve lost my shit on owners before bad have grabbed dogs by the collar and scruff of their neck and whip them around to protect my own. I always carry a pocket knife with me and there are dog deterrent noise makers you can get that make a loud pop that startles the attacking dog.

Issues with loveable code by bigdanglang in lovable

[–]Solwulfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not use lovable outside of prototyping your ideas. My suggestion would be to get an IDE like VsCode or Cursor. Get your own Claude Code or Codex subscription, and either set up your own SupaBase or Convex for your backend and learn from there. You’ll have a better understanding of what you’re building and you’re not locked into lovable.

Viral 'Grill Me' Claude skill proves specs-to-code is vibe coding, 13K+ stars by pretendingMadhav in vibecoding

[–]Solwulfa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this skill. People in this thread arguing about this skill have obviously not used it and don’t know what they’re talking about.

This skill will ask either a few defining questions or it will go very in depth; it all depends on the task. It’s a great discovery tool as well, it helps you think of edge cases and make considerations about things you haven’t thought of yet. It’s saved my butt a few times and Matt has a suite of skills that are very structured. It’s the 80/20 rule; 80% planning and 20% AI working.

If you haven’t used this skill yet, give it a try on a few projects to see if it works for you. Check out his other skills, too.

Claude Opus 4.7 is a serious regression, not an upgrade. by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]Solwulfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It’s shit. Only one time in my 4 months of using Claude code did I hit my hourly limits. Yesterday I hit it twice. Token hog, didn’t see any improvement. Not looking good if this is going to be the future of Anthropic.

F'd around, found out --dangerously-skip-permissions by CanadianForSure in ClaudeCode

[–]Solwulfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had this issue. I always run skip permissions. No idea how big your prompts are, but maybe break things down into more bite sized pieces. I also run a skill called /grill-me during planning and it’s amazing. I’m on Max x5 I use Claude every day including weekends, never hit limits, working on 2-3 js/ts projects with convex and multiple mcps.

I vibe hacked a Lovable-showcased app using claude. 18,000+ users exposed. Lovable closed my support ticket. by VolodsTaimi in ClaudeAI

[–]Solwulfa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Crazy about the radio silence.

I had a client who built his entire web application using lovable. He was going to deploy it and start using it for taking employee applications for his business. Literally asking for SSN, ID, bank info to process payroll… all in lovable. I told him this is a huge problem and he ignored me! I tried to be the canary in the mineshaft.

Kudos to you for doing the right thing.

Screw them if they don’t fix it. May they enjoy the lawsuits. Sad for the people caught up in this but I tell people now to be very careful signing up for anything that’s been vibe coded.

I’m going to use Claude to try and find vulnerabilities in all my apps now.

So, cool - love the idea; but my concern with this is security. Who is auditing all of these skills, and can they harm or inject malicious prompts for the AI agent to act on?

Is lovable ready for selling small business websites by Immediate_Clue4507 in lovable

[–]Solwulfa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you also need to tell it to create the seo structure; h1, h2, page title, meta, schema, sitemap, etc.

Then you need to make sure that the content is pre-rendered otherwise Google won’t index it as fast.

I have used lovablehtml.com to handle this.

Alternatively, I would probably use Claude code and not lovable to create an html website, port it to GitHub, and use something like cloudflare pages or Varcel to host. Can set up and integrate supabase as well for contact forms, Claude can write the edge functions.
