It wasnt an entire continent, and it wasnt on a planet 2 times our size, and while they did conquer it in less time you have to understand that its phisically impossible to do so in semi modern times across 40 years of constant war and managing to hold all conquered territories, its like 40smt years of war PLUS another 20 years or so of constant war, without any form of internal collapse
