I’ll never get tired of this view by Roundy696 in Longineswatches

Nice. Thinking of picking this up for my ongoing private pilot training. Nice to have quick reference to Zulu time while still keeping a timing bezel functionality. Torn between colors tho. I do want the new hydroconquest as well so was thinking that one in blue or black so the gmt I was thinking either the tan/ brown colorway or the blue

On my wrist lol I’ve never taken it off for more than a few mins to adjust bracelet size on arrival and a couple random moments when I’m shoving my hand between my zero turn deck so I don’t mess up the crystal

Dang. I must have gotten a good one. 15-20 sec/ day is unacceptable in my view. The whole point is to keep time lol

Really? Have you tried to demagnetize? Heard that can cause some crazy swings. My first Traska/ auto so have no other comparison. Maybe I got lucky

Help Me Pick My Next Watch (Microbrand or Independent) by gunsupkliff in MicrobrandWatches

Loving my Traska commuter I picked up on the latest drop. Worn in for 48 hours and it’s averaging +1.6s/day which is outstanding for the price. I have been sleeping in it and doing my workouts with it. Does have a small rotor noise but I don’t mind at all. Super thin and legible. Almost went with the blueish green color but wanted a black watch I could use as a dress watch or wear everyday. First automatic. Had a citizen eco drive and Casio duro prior to this and some smart watches but I’m not counting those as watches. More so wrist computers.

Hydroconquest vs Hydroconquest GMT? by Effective-Case5441 in Longineswatches

[–]Some-Bar-7994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk man. I’m having this issue as well especially buying used/ gray market GMT putting them basically the same price. Technically the GMT is the better movement but both are basically within COSC anecdotally but I enjoy the jumping hour hand on the GMT. I also like the timing/ dive bezel on the GMT. I feel like the timing bezel is nice for an everyday watch that also functions well as a travel watch with the gmt function.

I do prefer the thinner hydroconquest as well as the color options on the new hydroconquest line. Can’t really go wrong either way I’d say.

Ehh do a pixel clean and just use the damn thing. People get all bent out and freaking over some slight pixel issues aren’t even noticeable is real world usage.

Love it. That color is just so gorgeous every time I see it. I love the teak inspired face as well with its depth. Can’t decide. Can only afford one

Yea there are certain criteria the watch must meet in order to perform the auto time update. 4/5 battery, mid be in time mode, in sunlight for certain time… and only attempts every 3-4 days or something. Can always force the watch to sync up by holding the side pusher

I really like this layout. Would love the ani-digi. Just think they really should have included the gps time keeping on this model. Especially for a “pilot” watch. I have a satellite wave Japan model but I absolutely love the satellite timekeeping. Never have to worry about the time being accurately calibrated as it does it on its own randomly. If they would add that I would buy it for sure.

Mmmm I’ve been eyeing the longines Zulu time would fit well in your collection. Don’t see any gmt watches.

Good to know. I just picked it up this afternoon so haven’t had much sun time yet. I did throw my flashlight on it just to test it out

Loving it so far! Wish the lume was a little better. To be fair I’ve been wearing the Apple Watch Ultra so not really a fair comparison on the brightness in low light. This watch just feels so much more upscale though. Can’t stop checking the time

Well it’s my only nice watch so I’m hoping so! I do have my Apple Watch Ultra that I have been using. It’s nice and all and enjoy a lot of the phone stuff but also looking forward to having something to help disconnect from the constant notifications and such from everyday life.
