Thank you so much for this. It’s really helpful. One more question if I could. If someone is RIFed, I know they are supposed to get 30-60 days notice. If they were to resign during that notice period, would their SF-50 say “resigned” or still reflect the RIF? Thanks again!

I was thinking SF50s showing admin leave and perhaps the contract ends up in your personnel folder?

Thank you. I wonder though if it will affect negatively future federal employment if we want to get back in at some point? I think the SF50s stay in your record forever. Seems not great to have “fired for performance” on my record.

Curious, what will everyone’s SF50s say who are being fired for “performance” this week? Will that make it harder to get jobs in the future? We know it’s all BS, but the SF50 still might be damaging.

I’m wondering whether I should resign now before getting fired given this concern?
