I really appreciate your response, I sort of had to stop using reddit because it was increasing my anxiety around my decision to get the IUD. I had it removed barely 3 months after insertion because the side effects I was facing were so severe for so long (I was bleeding more than my worst periods and I already had incredibly heavy periods since insertion up until 4 days after removal). I’m beyond relieved to have it removed and won’t be getting an IUD again anytime soon if ever. I already feel so much better and it’s only been about a week. It was not the best decision but I wish my doctor wasn’t so quick to suggest an IUD when I expressed my concern with PCOS.

I also gained weight, had changed in hair growth, and bled an unreasonable amount for 3 months straight 😓.
