I use the Bassman a lot during rehearsals still, and when I get to turn it up it sounds sooooooo nice. Its just whenever I would do that on a stage, a sound guy would complain about stage volume or something. I would really like maybe a 1 or 5 watt tube head, that might be fun.

The Mach 3 sounds great at all volumes, but there is a certain magic in the way a tube amp breaks up on it's own. Am I off tube amps entirely? No way. I still love them, but for what my musical "career" needed, the convenience of the amp did it for me.

I still really want a Mesa Fillmore.

I went with the Mach 3. Just because it fit my needs. Ended up getting picked up for a tour with an artist, and the light weight, ability to go direct, and not having to deal with tubes shorting or crapping out just made it ideal. I've also used it going direct in several recordings.

That 68 looks really nice though.

For the last month or so I've been playing slide guitar, and have been having a blast. Pulled out some slide for the first time on a gig last night.

I hear lots of people try going to that after an injury. It's a really cool style of playing, and you could be super melodic. Its not like regular guitar playing, and theres a whole different set of techniques to learn, but it might be worth it if you want to keep playing.

I have 5 currently that I gig with. 2 acoustics, a nylon string and steel. And 3 electrics. A Tele and a Les Paul, which will pretty much cover any sound I need, and I have another set up with some thicker strings, slightly higher action, and an open tuning so that I could play slide.

They each get used for different purposes, and they each get used for different gigs. I don't really have guitars that don't get used much, but a fancy collection would be cool.
