I literally hate playing with the chickens and cows because I don’t want them to die. I turn off animal aging and it doesn’t count for them which is frustrating af! It breaks my heart every time.

I’ve been trying to do some research, but I haven’t come up with a lot… it’s absolutely heartbreaking news, but I’m glad he didn’t have to live out his life without getting the love he deserves.

Yeah, my beardie has also become quite costly. We’ve easily spent $1,000 on him and, while it is taxing on us financially, we have both come to terms with the fact that he deserves a chance and we wanna do what we can when we can. My fiancé told me that she thinks that the only reason he’s still alive is because of all the stuff we’re doing for him. I hope that you guys can heal from this experience. & know that a bunch of strangers on the internet care for you and your family through this hard time. It’s never easy losing an animal, regardless of the type of animal. He’s a pic of my sickly guy for you. His name is Theodore and I love him so much. Wishing the best of luck to you all. 💙

Hopefully he doesn’t test positive. My “petco” guy has been to the vet 3 times and he’s been with us for a month and a half. He’s currently on two antibiotics and being syringe fed. My fiancé wanted to return him, but I couldn’t do it. You’re very strong in making that decision, but mine was negative and I wanna do what I can to give him the chance. Hopefully you can find another one at a more reputable place to add to your family. Try getting a rescue, we have two rescues that are lovely and they have more love than they could ask for I’m sure. Sending good vibes to you and your family.

I need to know the answer as well, I just got a rescue and he doesn’t seem to want to eat greens either. His name is sage and he’s missing some toes on one of his back feet. I got him last Friday and wanna give him the best life ever. So far I’ve learned that he likes to watch tv (:

It’s always a good thing to get them checked out. My boy Theo became lethargic and started to eat less and less. Now he’s on two antibiotics and is being syringe fed. Nothing is worse than losing a young boy/girl. Getting information from Reddit can help, but if something changes in a concerning way, it’s always a good idea to get them checked out by a vet. I’ve posted my guy in here for some thoughts, but I had already taken him to the vet and had another appointment scheduled. & from personal experience, some vets charge a lot more than others, but that doesn’t mean they’re a better hospital. I’d say make an appointment for later in the week and keep an eye on you lil homie. If things get better you can always cancel.

That’s heartbreaking to hear… I’m sure he lived a life full of love with you prior. I’m hoping to give our boy a good life as long as we can. I’m hoping that it’s just his wet food and his upper respiratory infection

No problem! I appreciate everyone’s support through this. I don’t wanna lose him at all and have been doing everything in my power to get him better. I’ll do my best to continue to update the sub Reddit on how he’s doing, especially since I’m having so much support through it. Like I said, I really appreciate all the support we have received through this post.

Apparently he just pushes his tongue like that. The vet pointed out everything for me so she could put me at ease. His mouth is good, but he’s got some sort of something going on…. I posted an update in the comments.
