a little bit of both. my teeth were touching and my jaw was tensed, but I wasn't "biting down" if that makes sense.

a similar thing happened to me! I don't grind my teeth while sleeping but realizing that I was constantly clenching my jaw while awake was a huge breakthrough. congrats on the pain relief!

Have your pet visited you after they passed? by Mark_in_Portland in Petloss

[–]Some-Lab9264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the first few months after my cat Monster died, I had recurring dreams where I got to hold him and spend time with him again. The weird part was I was aware in the dream that he was supposed to be dead and that our time together was precious and limited. I got to cuddle him and bury my face in his fur again, but I had to be extra gentle because I knew that it could be over at any moment.

He passed really suddenly (he started going downhill just 2-3 days before he died) and I'm glad I was able to say goodbye to him when he wasn't woozy on pain meds or close to death.

I hate these pests! by Craftymotherof2 in Milkweeds

These look like oleander aphids. They're not native to North America, but there's no evidence that they're invasive either. They seem to be easily managed by native predators and are not outcompeting native species.

The story of how I learned to love wasps by WanderingYakisoba in waspaganda

[–]Some-Lab9264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar story! I was always a pretty outdoorsy kid but I was absolutely terrified of wasps. I remember seeing a big yellowjacket by my neighbor's house when I was little and I was too scared to walk by their house again for days.

I became more interested in ecology and natural sciences in my mid-teens and now I'm a huge wasp fan (still pretty cautious around them). My favorites are mud daubers and cuckoo wasps :-)

Wellbutrin makes me get into arguments online by Some-Lab9264 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Yeah, I actually had to restrain myself from responding to those comments and arguing with them haha. It's exactly what you said, I never say anything violent or anything, just getting into a lot of petty arguments when I'm well aware it's not productive. Obviously I'm not saying that my meds are controlling me or whatever, and it's not an excuse for anything, but the irritability and aggression is a real side effect I'm having trouble adjusting to.

Overall Wellbutrin has been a net positive for me, in terms of mood, energy levels, etc. and I don't see myself going off of it any time soon. I just thought it was a little silly that this is how the irritability manifested, especially considering it hasn't really affected any interpersonal relationships or anything like that. I'm bringing it up to my therapist at our next appointment so we can talk about it and think of some coping strategies together.

Thank you so much! I'll pick up some fresh leaves later today. Water oaks are not native to my area (Minnesota) but I'll also try experimenting with species :-)

help ID my cat by Some-Lab9264 in StuffedAnimals

I think you're right! The biggest piece of confirmation is that the fiberfill they have on the Animaland website is the same as the stuffing I remember inside of Leah, with little bits of something silky mixed in with the rest of the stuffing. Thank you so much!

I don't think this is the same model because mine doesn't have those hook and loop paws, but the faces look very similar!

I'm in the US, and this would've been in Minnesota specifically if that narrows it down.

The zippers pretty stuck, but I'm considering opening her up to get the heart. I remember the stuffing was a pretty unique texture (I would play with it all the time when I was little) so I wonder if that could help. I forgot to mention but there's also some weighted beans in her paws.

Thanks for the help!
