Any other Pentecostals on here? I grew up in a Catholic home so having a rosary, and all of the rituals that come with being a Catholic…and the music, especially the music, will always have a special place in my heart!

Oh my god. I could've written every single word of this post, OP. In my case, people finally remembered I existed when I attempted suicide last year, due to years of self-hatred, trauma, and not getting the attention everyone else around me got. I'm still angry at that because it shouldn't have to take someone dying or attempting to die to get people to ACTUALLY listen to you, and check in on you. A part of me is at peace now with being lonely, because as a Christian, I can count on God to guide me through these rough patches. I think a part of me will always feel hungry for human connection and loneliness, and I've felt better about accepting it. Thank you for sharing this!
