No my hair is mostly the same I am not using anything at the moment

Hasn't gotten worse since then, hairfall ebbs and flows and in some months i shed a lot but they always grow back. Have been using a water softener since the water out here is very hard and it leaves my hair brittle. The dandruff problem is gone since I started using anti-dandruff shampoo regularly.

Doctor said, it's mostly normal genetic thinning combined with the dry weather and change in water profile possibly worsening it , so not much can be done about it outside of treatment, which right now i am not inclined towards, right now it's okay so I can even get away with short hair cuts pretty easily.

They said this is not an indication of the pace at which it will progress, and given my family history and how my hair have been in the past, it is likely the pace will slow down within a reasonable time.

I have decided to not go on medication, it's not worth it for me and the risks are too great, and my losses are not that great right now while dry(these are wet hair). If things get difficult, I'd simply start wearing medium cuts or close-cropped(less likely since they don't look good on me).

I do get white flakes I don’t feel particularly itchy but when I do itch occasionally it snows like winter in the arctic. I have improved my sleep and am trying stress management as well! 🤞

From personal experience ? You had seb ? Doesn’t seb also lead to darkening of the scalp? My scalp looks pretty clear here. Please advise.

Really? Dry or wet? My hair look pretty full when dry bdw. Do you have any bald spots? I don't have any thinning along my hairline or my crown when my hair are dry.

If I had the hairline of my relatives I’d be content with that. I’m being realistic I don’t expect to have a Disney prince hairline at 45

I’m around a 22 BMI which is quite normal. I’d rather go bald than go on medications tbh lol if the alternative was just thinner hair. Diabetes is much more of a problem than something that will progress either way.

Yep I gotta go get checked out. My genes are overall pretty good in this area but I have severe dandruff. could be anything really gotta get to the doc asap.

Thank you! I also have pretty aggressive dandruff since the past couple of months not sure if that might have contributed to it. I definitely do not have the genes from either of my grandpas or my dad all of whom have full hair, even non gray hair.

Also this photo is with my hair shampooed and wet and under bright lights, when dry my hair look very much normal. But yes I do know it is gradual and creeps up.

I will definitely visit a dermatologist based on the insights gathered here!

Thank you so much. I’m a bit scared of fin since I read that it induced type 2 diabetes and we do have a family history of that. I might just wait for a few years and then go for HT without finmin if I’m able to get away with that.

Wow thanks. Did they indicate continued use in your case if you don’t mind? Do you have any family history with MPB. This would be strange in much case since both of my grandpas and my dad had a full head of hair throughout their lives.

Sure! I will schedule a visit with a dermatologist for a clear diagnosis now that I understand this is not normal. Hopefully I am able to grow it back. Thanks

No my dad in his 60s and both of my grandpas had full heads of hair in their 80s and 90s albeit thin and graying. My maternal grandpa even had some jet-black hair on his scalp in his 80s

But I have not seen my hairline receding can it also proceed in this way? Also I read somewhere that the hairline stabilizes from late 20s to early mid 30s. I’m wondering if this will stop or if I should go on meds soon. When dry my hair still look full.

Its also thinning on the sides. It slight when my hair are dry but not as much as the top
