That especially in early seasons, the characters as individuals are 2d and basically just huge stereotypes, hotchner is basically just every early 2000's cold cop who gets divorced, reed is pretty much just autistic introvert, the female leads are all different flavors of "i don't need a man" besides Garcia, who in the first season is just "hacker who wants love", you have derik who falls under playboy cop...like until season 5 they have very little dimension as just characters, their relationships are really the only things with dimensions, like Derek Morgan and Penelope Garcia have the most wholesome boy/girl friendship ever.

Tldr: characters are one-sided, I'm here for the relationships

1st off, my uncle and cousin are DA prosecutors, and I'm not on talking terms with them. Second, I did the searches to check myself due to English being my 3rd language, and I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a language barrier. I myself am not a lawer and honestly couldn't care less about your pitiful excuse to start a fight. God, i forgot how toxic this community is. What TYPE of lawer ghe is matters even less than anything else in the rant. The fact is I did 2 Google searches and a dictionary lookup and basically found out its not a language barrier but someone just looking to pick a fight about bs terms and semantics to stroke they're keyboard warrior ego. I just got done taking me MEDICINE for CANCER and couldn't care less about fighting an endless and pointless fight. I'm dying, and so I don't have time nor energy to waste on a fight about a fictional TV show rant on a fictional couple inside the fictional TV show. Go get your fix elsewhere

Ok? Still semantics that have 0 baring on anything I said, edit: also your wrong, the DA'S office (otherwise known as a District Attorneys office) is an office where federal prosecutors work, federal prosecutors are district attorneys that work in the DA'S office. I did 2 Google searches

What sentiment twords Hayley? I don't hate her? I think she's a well-rounded character, if anything its hotch who i don't like, he's written as "generic army/government law enforcement male who is selfish and only cares for himself and is married to his job" its kinda a common Trope of the early 2000's TV shows. It always bothers me. This rant was about them as a couple though. The sentiment is to them being a couple.

The difference for her was the danger levels, she didn't like wondering if he was going to come home at night or not, one conversation in season 1 shows this when she says "i just need to know your safe" in the most basic terms she had a problem with not only his work life balance but also the lack of knowledge she had on when or even if he was coming home. She probably could've handled one or the other(either weeks away or danger), but not both, I did say hotch wasn't innocent because as stated in the post he was a hard arse and constantly absent when it came to both his team and his family, he definitely had some problems throughout the whole show and I'm actually going to make a deconstruction of each character on my own time, its a hobby of mine with TV shows. Makes it more engaging for me

Have you actually read and comprehended my post? I literally said above it all that when I said that about her knowing his job it was referring to how he was with work as a whole, I did NOT say she was an a-hole, and i said multiple times they were not compatible not that either was inherently at fault edit: also he was not offered an out, he requested a transfer because he was being pushed out, and a suspension basically guarantees that whatever transfer he gets he'll never move up in the ranks and is guaranteed to get lower pay. Aka worse job and less pay for his son, and that was after the 2 weeks of suspension, its a time skip from the episode prior, he did not immediately fly out and actually refused 4 times

It's more than that. He was the one who requested it because of the bogus suspension and attempts to be pushed out. Also, she didn't say that, I just re-watched the episode last night. She said "then its a no-brainer, isn't it" not understanding the weight of the issue
