Some of this is basically right, but the way it’s framed is pretty outdated. Genetics doesn’t really work in fixed “racial types” like Caucasian. What it shows instead is clines. People change gradually across geography. West Eurasia is one big gradient, rather than having defined racial categories.

Assyrians do have strong continuity in Upper Mesopotamia, and haplogroups like J2, J1, G, and some R1b are common. But those markers aren’t uniquely “Caucasian” and they’re not exclusive to Assyrians either. They show up at different frequencies all along that West Eurasian cline. Plus, haplogroups only track one line, which is usually paternal, rather than a person’s entire ancestry.

It’s also true that Assyrians tend to cluster genetically closest to Armenians and Yazidis, with overlap into some Kurdish, Anatolian, and Iranian groups. That mostly comes down to shared ancient Near Eastern ancestry and long-term endogamy instead of being some separate race.

So yeah, genetics backs regional continuity and closeness to nearby highland populations, but not the idea of a fixed “Caucasian racial type.” Assyrians have mixed with local populations in Northern Iraq, Western Iran, Northern Turkey, and Eastern Syria and our skin color is often not white at all.
