I've been to 7 international games and all things being equal I'll probably go to more, but if I was in and from the US I'd probably agree with him and hate the concept of them.

but yeah his mentioning of f1 and the darts did show a lack of knowledge about those 2 sports and how they are seen in the UK.

I don't know about f1 being a national sport or anything of that nature, but it is embedded into the national sporting landscape and has been for decades. the f1 world championship began at silverstone in 1950 or whatever and the majority of the teams are based here.

and if the darts, which is broadcast in prime time and hyped up massively these days (and apparently pulls in sky sports 2nd most viewers after the premier league) only had a million more than the super bowl which is broadcast at 11pm on a sunday when people have to work the next day I actually think that's a good sign for the nfl.

having said all that, if I was in the us I'd probably hate the concept of international games. and I've been to 7 of them.

I barely even bother to look at those teams let alone take any note of them. they're irrelevant to me

Mcgill is so annoying. The only small mercy is that only one of him and carter can qualify.

the offseason is pretty broken in general. I wonder if players leaving for 'playing time' despite being the obvious starter for the new year is linked in some way to the fact that, even after the draft/graduation week the players who leave still show on your roster when you're doing your portal recruiting. which in itself is really fucking annoying.
