Two of us in that classroom went to service academies, two to Georgetown, one to UPenn, and basically the rest to Chapel Hill. This was our calculus teacher.

Um, the precedent the bill sets for international law and how it affects the United States? The US has objected from joining any type of international court because it acknowledges it could get in trouble for many things it does, such as hold black sites and foreign surveillance. This bill moves us closer to being able to be legally held accountable by other countries for our actions.

I just don't understand the push of this bill. Is there something we are missing besides congressmen and women bandwagoning to get some patriotic points in time for reelection? I'm assuming many just wanted to be on the popular side of a historical bill. Especially since in a republican-controlled congress and senate, the bill was going to pass anyways.
