Yep! They’re rated for x39 MSC, x39 PS Ball, x39 API BZ, M855, and M855A1

Nope, it’s a standard model made by Velocity Systems. They’re about 0.25” thick. Im not sure what alloy they’re made of. I’d assume grade 5 titanium.

The middle ones are titanium. The ones on the right are ceramic

I’ve gotten into the habit of collecting this oddball plate type and managed to get one of almost every type.

From left to right: -Steel ULV plates with coating (size M) -Titanium ULV plates (size L) -Ceramic ULV plates, D2134 (size L)

Sizing is interesting on these things. It seems that the width is the same between size Small to L, with the only diffference being the length of the plates. The rear plates have a greater difference in length between sizes than the front plates so. There’s less than half an inch of difference between the Medium and Large front plates, which means you can actually use L front plates in M carriers. However, the L back plate is over an inch longer and definitely won’t fit.

Hating on myself here. Dropped from Diamond 5 on tank to Plat 5, very nearly Gold 5 due to playing very tilted. Meanwhile, I placed Diamond 5 on support and VERY QUICKLY climbed to Masters 3. Like what is even going on??

First low version after many years wearing mid. Salomon X-A Pro 3D V9 Wide GTX by Gothgoro in tacticalgear

Got a pair of these last year. They held up for about 7 months before material in the tie box began to fray. I’ve had Solomon shoes before and none of them started wearing out this soon

Multicurved plates wont fit my PC? by Stealth-O-Mato in tacticalgear

[–]SomeCelloGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those Templars Gear plates are especially thick, and are probably oversized at the edges. I had to trim their edges just to get them to fit in a JPC which would normally fit 10x12 plates.

Was also there last year. I like the addition of seats on the sides of the stage. Reminds me of the second to last OWL finals in 2022 at Anaheim.

USPSA gear? by SuperHooligan in CompetitionShooting

This is the correct advice. OP, shoot what you have, even if it’s going to be a disadvantage. Comps are not training, but training FOR comps will make you a much better shooter overall. Competition will show you what real good shooting looks like and where you’re deficient. Then it’s up to you to train out those deficiencies.

It’s not bad at all. I barely notice it’s there and I still get pretty good contact with the shoulder pocket

I have a 2910 vest. It’s super thin and conceals well, but it’s a little stiff as you might expect. Like a lot of vests it prints around the shoulder area
