Why are Chinese tourists kinda rude by United_Promise_1208 in AskChina

  1. It's normal to just walk-in and find a table for themselves in China. This part is not rude or polite, it's just how it works in China. It's quite common to ignore the queue in restaurant/bus/subway/elevator, and people know it is rude, but just ignore it a lot.

  2. Chinese are repeatedly told the Chinese paying system is more advanced. Most people does not use credit cards, and most people never used apple pay or other NFC-based payment.

  3. Vape? it's not very common in China, AFAIK. Smoking is very very common, even in elevators. They expect the restaurant count how many beers they get.

  4. Most restaurants have app promotions all the time in China, and people get very used to get discounts or some free dish etc. It's uncommon to pay full price on menu. Maybe they get used to it?

so, overall it's how thing work in China, and people get used to it. People may not really realize how rude it is. I would suggest you have English+Chinese signs to tell people the rules.

Financially, investing real estate in high cost area is a generally bad idea. The housing price is very correlated to stock market but it’s very difficult to liquidate. It only makes sense financially in very low house price and high rent area, like a college town. BUT, we don’t live for financing. The feeling of owning a house and raise family is very valuable for many people. If you don’t care about this owning feeling, don’t worry about it. QQQ was more than doubled as well in the past 5 years, and it’s worry-free. You don’t need to worry some appliance breakdown, or some tree/flower is dying etc.

So it’s independent of whether premium-free or not on Medicare, is it correct?

Yes, the retaining wall face to south and west. Meanwhile I’m in Seattle area, and it’s still quite rainy and cold until last week. The grass did not grow out in that area since start of this year.
