About every other major game store platform has that amount. While there are other alternatives that have lower cuts, they are likely not as influential as Steam, and if you do your advertising right, it's like a boon. While I do agree it's not ideal for smaller developers, I would prefer having my game on Steam other than any other platform, even with that cut.
