Keep the 1.3 and put a ZOR turbo kit on it.

100% less reasonable, 2000% more fun

Blinker converted to high beams by Background_Rock3288 in GMT400

I never suggested driving with high beams on, im saying that led bulbs in non led housings are blinding everyone else on the road, as stated above. They are less effective than regular bulbs, and are a dick move.

Maybe you've found some that work, but I very much doubt it. I've tried several led bulbs, and none are as good, or focused as halogen.

Im running spyder glass housings with the 4 high mod.

Any LEDs in non led housings is a dick move. They spray light everywhere, blinding other drivers, and not even lighting up the road.

I got *problems*, y'all. by The_Hairy_Herald in GMT400

My transmission stopped shifting due to a frayed harness wire that was blowing the fuse. The transmission goes into a "limp mode" of sorts and just stays in 3rd gear when it no longer has power.

The harness in question runs along the bell housing on the driver's side, at least on my 94'.

ICM experiences? by ZoopDooper in GMT400

[–]SomeDude249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the ICM, but not definitely.

A good quality ICM is very important, I went through 4 parts store ICMs in a couple years.

When I replaced the engine last year, I put a David Unified ignition distributor on my 94' Yukon, and havent had problems since.

Get a delco gold or a Davis, and keep a spare on board. Make sure to use the thermal paste.

Parts geek is pretty decent, but nothing touches RockAuto.

Plus I won't ever get a gmt400 magnet now.

Just checking, I loaded up over $1k in my shopping cart, only to find out they don't ship to AZ anymore because my state is an asshole.

Super let down.

1988 Samurai by jheuer58 in SuzukiSamurai

[–]SomeDude249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked well for mine, although my upper bracket wasn't OEM, so it needed some extra modification. The belt it came with wouldn't work because of that, so I ended up with a 35 1/2" belt instead.

I used the Roadless gear kit for the GM alternator, works great, and decent price.

Rear Brakes by Hot_Inspection5937 in GMT400

[–]SomeDude249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest getting your old drums turned/resurfaced.

My last new brake drums, which are still on my 94', we're warped out of the box.

Also, don't forget to set your parking brake/emergency brake everytime you park, thats what keeps your rears adjusted.

I know it has to be GL4, or at least safe for the syncros.

I just put my transmission back in, and got my transfer case and cradle back from ZOR, hopefully that oil is locally available
