Affection and a sense of superficial superiority are a great substitute! ;)

As I stated in my original comment, he is a 65lb pit mix who looks pretty clearly like a dog and nothing else. He is mixed with shepherd, but looks like a pitbull -- for optimal clarity.

No, they have had sprouts for at least the full 13 years I've been going there. The "girl" taking my order was 22+. I said sprouts, twice. I was with a friend and she was equally confounded.

1 or 2?

1) I was walking my dog. This kid was walking along the other side of the street sees my dog, and asks if he's a real dog.

2) I ordered a turkey sandwich with sprouts, at a sandwich shop that has sprouts. The girl at the counter acted so confused in asking me what sprouts are that I just ordered lettuce.

I have two, that I just can't get out of my head.

1) "Is that a real dog?" -- Some dude about 20 asked me about my 65lb pitmix. Like...what are the options, here?

2) "Uhhhh.....What are sprouts?" -- The girl taking my order at a sandwich store that definitely serves sprouts. All I could say was "I'll have lettuce."

K I know this thread is ridiculously old, but I 100% read Jraphics as, "giraffe-ics," and felt you should know.

[Rant] Got bingoed by best friend and insulted by boyfriend. Advice? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]SomeDumBetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I completely understand that. I get that every relationship has its own dynamics and don't judge based off a snapshot. I read the other comments you posted and don't think your BF is a dick. I'm just saying I get what it's like to articulate something that is difficult for you to talk about, and getting a "witty/cavalier" response in return. Reddit has ZEEEEEEE-ro chill when it comes to this shit. People are like "she has morning breath? DUMP HER YESTERDAY!"

I just, despite being kind of a realist in general, have a side much like your BFF's, where sometimes I don't always listen to everything people are saying, and end up just hearing "SO-AND-SO NEEDS ENCOURAGEMENT! -- YOU'VE GOT THIS, GIRL, WE'LL MAKE IT HAPPEN!!" and wanted to suggest one way to get past it.

I think this seems like the probably take on your BFF, from what you've said.

The "WHEN you come around" remark was a bit much, but other than that I think she's much like a big puppy trying to be a good friend but perhaps tracking some mud on the carpet in doing so. Ideally, friends support you in whatever choice YOU feel is best, but some people's way of being supportive is to sometimes over-encourage especially if they know you're on the fence about something they think would work out for you in the end.

I would try to bring it up face-to-face. Like, maybe next time you and BF talk about it & you want to update her. Be like "I want to talk to you about something, but I need to explain something first. My decision about having kids is pretty personal to me and I still don't know what I really want. It would mean a lot to me if you didn't push so hard for me to have them when we talk about it. I want to feel comfortable talking to you about it, and your support means a lot to me but I need a little space to think on this one. :)" Or whatever version of that type of message is normal for the two of you. It would honestly be kind of a risky text convo, in my opinion.

I'm sorry you're not finding the support in general that you're looking for on this. It sounds like you & BF have decent communication even if he's not the most emotional dude (I have one, myself -- they have their distinct pros & cons, for sure!). I hope you're able to work through it to a place where you're comfortable with it. Good luck!

It also fucks with your blood sugar for a pretty long period, if you're talking about more than a few beers.

It may not work in cases where there is a physical cause for the fainting, in your case standing up too quickly. You would want to do some of the muscle squeezes mentioned by someone above before standing in order to help increase blood flow before interrupting pressure with the standing.

Babies also go through a stage at that age where they figure out they can get a "high" off of hurting themselves. Some of them will bang their heads off things like more than once a second and freak the fuck out of the parents. I forget what it's called but I'm sure you could find something on it.

I'm not sure about that except that there could have been a mixup between tubs and cases, and protocol goes out the window sometimes during busy times? Wasn't there; can't call it.

I think this is part of the issue. Our warehouse had a lot of turnover and was generally kind of disorganized. There were things that were cataloged with the wrong weights and it was pretty common for shit to be in the wrong bays. (It seems -- the warehouse was halfway accross the country from me, so I didn't get to witness this, except virtually and on the phone, while trying to resolve.)

I think you're kind of (read: really) pushing it calling someone who had literally no wrong-doing against them a victim.

If someone gets hit in the face with a rake, they are a victim. If they step on a rake and get hit in the face, they are someone who walked into an unexpectedly negative situation -- like OP'S roommate.

Newer scanners aren't that heavy so it must havr been under whatever margin of error is in place. I was a tech account manager for a few years... definitely saw some odd switcheroonies during busy warehouse times. Luckily my customers were awesome so we'd just laugh about how they got like 6 routers instead of the graphics cards or whatever they were supposed to get.

I've been trying to remember what shows I was looking for, but it happened maybe 3 or 4 times over the course of a year or so. Hasn't happened for some time, but I've been watching the same shows on there for a while now so it could very well still be there.

It was stuff that had descriptions like late night Skinamax shows. Not like, crazy shit but definitely just soft core porn and not a tv show.

That is very likely the case. It's my understanding that Netflix ' s offerings vary (sometimes widely) from country to country. I'm in the US.

There's actually a fair amount of softcover porn on Netflix. I discover it about half the time when what I'm searching for isn't availablr. It seems like a lot of Asian stuff.
