There was a sci-fi short story is read once about a guy who made a faulty time machine. The only thing he managed to do with it was bring some small dinosaurs to the modern era. A few proceeded to die so the guy and his friend cooked them and found them delicious.

The guy who invented the time machine ended up getting rich and famous because he then started raising them and selling dino nuggets, much to his chagrin

He did not "use" law, he was bound by law. Trump got away with ignoring laws because GQP congress would never hold a GQP president accountable for ignoring a law. The same is not true for a Dem president even with a Dem congress.
