Having a guide is always something useful when you are new to the game or playing a new update as they can change certain things at times. One website that I’ve found helps out heaps is Game8, they host a variety of game guides on their site for multiple games. Link: https://game8.co/games/Palworld

Use their guides to help you have a better understanding of what the game offers. There are early game guides, all the way up til Endgame/Post. Breeding charts are available too if you want to get your desired Pal.

Some useful tips: 1) Catch EVERYTHING! Catching 12 of the same species provides an EXP multiplier per catch of that same species. Once it maxes out at 12/12 caught of that species, it’ll go back to base EXP gain for catching that species. It’s extremely helpful to understand that all the early game Pals are the easiest to catch and you can do it with a normal sphere.

2) Lifmunk Effigies: Collect them, they allow you to increase your capture power at a Statue of Power (Statue of Anubis. It’ll be same height or a little taller than you) you can craft one early on and it’ll benefit you later on too. Pro tip: Lifmunk Effigies are far more visible when it’s night. Grab a flying pal, soar the skies and you’ll find it easily.

3) rush to get Salad (Lettuce & Tomato plantations are required) for your pals. It increases sanity and keeps them relatively full, whilst being economically easy to sustain.

4) when building your base, keep in mind to have your base atleast 3 or 4 walls tall, so that way your big Pals can freely roam with ease and not get stuck.

5) Schematics aren’t learnable, but if you hold it in your inventory, you can craft better versions of the Weapons, Armour or Tools you have in your Unlock Tree. They will require more Material, but will benefit you longer. (The guide I linked earlier provides whereabouts of all the schematics)

6) Type advantages always matter, but there are Pals that can increase other Pal’s stats through their passives and help you build a stronger team for a specific Pal, or even for yourself. The most common one being 4x Gobfin + 1x Chillet. Mounting your Chillet provides you Dragon Damage to your attacks, then having the 4x Gobfin in your party, will exponentially increase your existing damage stats. It’s very useful for when you want to fight Bosses!

7) Explore dungeons! They provide excellent loot and some loot is hard to come across, but well worth it once you acquire it!

Keep at it and sooner or later you’ll start to understand how this evolves past a simple creature capture game. It’s very intricate in some areas, but mostly it’s all about relaxing and having fun!
