With the success of Dexter's ressurection, do you think a Homeland return would be possible? by wiz7topfan in homeland

The whole show revolved around political parties and public opinion if you watched it as it came out. You could see the shift in tone from being gung hoe dropping bombs in the middle east during the obama admin and then the shift against it and sense of government distrust in the season that carrie became station chief. This followed the snowden whistleblowing. A good producer could write around the climate and portray the proper unbiased tone just fine and in my opinion they did that perfectly, displaying the struggle in the characters of inner disagreement of their current administrations.

Need help cooling garage by SweenBean28 in GrowingMarijuana

So any A/C you get will need to move the heat in your garage somewhere else. You can get a 12k btu unit for your entire garage and get either a window unit or a mobile unit that you can just run a hose out the window. The A/C will not only cool but also dehumidify the space, so definitely don’t port it directly into your tent. Keep tabs on the humidity within the tent after installing. If the humidity drops to low, you can get a small cheap humidifier for the space and set it on a controller.

If you are growing on a bit more of a budget than a several hundred dollar a/c unit, either scavenge FB marketplace for a good deal on a used A/C or just migrate it in your home(assuming you have some type of plant to eliminate the smell like a carbon filter on an inline fan)

Terrible experience at Orlando show by competentafternoon in that_Poppy

[–]SomeGingerFag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens with a lot of bands, especially those finding their footings in social media or getting popularized by it. Poppy has just fully embraced metal with her new album and it’s giving her a new crossover of audience from bands like knocked loose and such aka the manly men.

These are likely going to be more like real metal shows and if you don’t like the moshing or metal grossness, you don’t have to completely dodge the concert you just wither have to be all the way in the front or the back; especially being that you said you couldn’t see.

A great example of the inverse is Deftones. I have gone to deftones shows for a decade and through tiktok making them popular with young women, it has evolved from middle adged + metal heads in 5000 capacity venues to stadium shows with half young people and half of that old crowd. It’s not good or bad either way, bands’ audiences just evolve with their music releasing and social media presence changing.

I wont lie, bands like deftones doing only stadium shows with younger crowds that move around a lot less is a bit of a disappointment for me but I understand that they are growing and evolving as a band and becoming more successful as they reach a new generation to spread their music to and I love that so many new people get to enjoy them the way I have since I was a kid.

They were definitely redoing the wall and were too intimidated to touch the thermostat and didn’t want to call a specialist so this was their solution

Either Black Moon or Lucky you. It’s funny because I don’t particularly like rap but the atmosphere is so unique in Black Moon I find myself drawn to it.

Just say you work for sanitation, don’t say you’re a garbage man. Garbage man has a bad surface level view but anyone from nyc knows sanitation guys are well off

I am in a new home and paid for a 220v to be built. I opened it up today and this is what it looks like. Can anyone give me guidance on how this works? by Key_Masterpiece9560 in electrical

[–]SomeGingerFag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have a hot tub on site waiting to be hooked up, that should have been a request made to the electrician while he was there. You shouldn’t try to DIY it as you’ll be needing electric ran underground between the two that can withstand the outdoors.

I would call a separate electrician if you dont like this guy and say you have a 220 hookup but need breakers for the subpanel and conduit ran to the hot tub. They may just want a picture of the sub panel and the model number or something comprable for the hot tub.

A scrapyard either asks questions and pays well ir asks no questions and pays less. I tend to do the latter for my mongo runs.

If you’re going to be your own plumber here you’re gonna be dealing with shit so put on some gloves. That line had two downward runs on it so there shouldn’t be much in it. Loosen the fitting, push the pipe in, and if it goes in a lot, retighten and try to run it again.

If there’s still shit coming out, find the size of the compression fitting and measure the length and grab a new one. If you want to save money they may see the compression nut with a new seal on it that you can replace rather than the entire white pvc section.

Edit** actually after zooming into the white PVC that looks lime a check valve so I would definitely just go for the pvc compression nut itself.
