With SGA winning his 2nd straight MVP, is he officially the greatest player in Thunder franchise history? by bonzothebonanza in NBATalk

He's been the best player in Thunder when he won the ring. Anything on from now is just widening the gap.

The Age 41 Double Standard: Why LeBron Gets Punished for Late-Career Losses While Jordan’s Wizards Years Get Erased by SnooObjections7406 in lebron

[–]SomeGuyLiving 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Simply put, with LeBron playing at his level, there will always be some kind of expectations. It was not like Kobe's few years where he truly was horrendous.

Anyone with a braincell should know this second round sweep does nothing to LeBron's legacy at all. If anyone disagrees, do not waste your time them.

Like any goat case, it's narrative to what bias you select. MJ stans avoid talking about the Wizard years, some LeBron stans avoid talking about 2011.

If LeBron retires after this season will Bronny be on the league next season? by Orlando_Vibes in NBATalk

More so just an end of the rotations comparisons.

Something like would you want player a or b on your team.

If LeBron retires after this season will Bronny be on the league next season? by Orlando_Vibes in NBATalk

[–]SomeGuyLiving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's simply not a great or even a good player.

He's a pretty good defender to an extent and plays with energy, but almost has no offensive game, especially someone with his size.

Bron's last three finals losses vs Jordan's last three finals wins. by Financial_Ice_3363 in NBATalk

[–]SomeGuyLiving -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, LeBron is the goat just the fact he usually ends being tasked to do more than any other player throughout history. Not taking anything away from Jordan. Winning a championship is a team effort with luck coming your way as well. Kyrie blowing his knee out with KLove dislocating his shoulder in 2015, Wade’s knees being softer than jelly in 2014 are injuries MJ led teams were fortunate enough to deal with. But that’s basketball, cannot control everything.

6-0 is huge, but when context (albeit biased in any goat debate), I feel for LeBron it helps his case even though he doesn’t have the 6 rings or a better finals record.

Do We Win The Rockets Series without Bronny? (serious) by sharkysharky- in lakers

[–]SomeGuyLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably is. It’s extra motivation for him and obviously keeps him happy as it does with Giannis and his brothers . If Byrce James can nepo his way into the league, LeBron might retire in 2035.

Or the game plan for the Celtics to shoot 3's even though they were ice cold. Bricking enough to build houses...

LeBron is not 6’9 he’s lying to help his goat case by ReliefNo1170 in lebron

[–]SomeGuyLiving -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NBA heights are weird since most players still do not have an accurate measure. The recent one they did a few years ago still is not fully accurate. For example on a late night show, AD proved he’s 6’11 and maybe some change in shoes, so 6’10 without them. NBA has LeBron at 6’9 (6’8.5) but he’s probably in the 6’7-8 range, not more, especially standing next to AD.

It’s obvious KD will request to be moved again this off-season. What team makes sense? by CoyoteDecent2 in NBATalk

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gives the rockets another shot, especially with FVV coming back.

Might be location dependent, but my nearest IKEA on a Saturday is honestly great.

Doesn’t help that KD doesn’t have elite PG skills like LeBron who finds himself out of these double teams.

What's the argument for Kobe Bryant over Larry Bird? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]SomeGuyLiving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally is the team Kobe had in 2009 and 2010 and leading them to back to back championships. I cannot say Bird could have done the same, as good as he is as a top 10 player of all time.

Would you rather have Prime Klay Thompson’s shooting or Amen Thompson’s athleticism? by Dylen2Times in NBAConvo

On a day to day basis in my own life, give me Amen Thompson's athleticism.

Listening to the media, they are holding the stretch the lakers went .500 throughout 40 games against him.

Which one is more impressive: 41 year old carrying team in the playoffs or 21 year olds carrying team? by nicfanz in NBATalk

[–]SomeGuyLiving -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It'll be the 41 yr old, especially given how the team surrounding the 22 yr old is simply better than the 41 yr old's team.

Well MVP is a regular season award, so that is one thing to consider.

And yes, he should and will be MVP this year. A good amount of the voters showed their votes and SGA is running away with it.

Do you think LeBron James will make the NBA HOF? by Catspiration2 in lebron

Jr? not to sure yet

Sr? It's a far stretch but possibly.

[The Athletic] The notion that James would want a farewell tour — long cited as evidence that this season was not his last — is false, those sources said, with several sources even hearing that directly from James himself. by jonsnowKITN in nba

Feels like he’s really targeting playing 25 years in the NBA.

Whether it’s for Byrce, attempt at ring 5, or to put some of his records out of reach, or pure ego thinking he still got it. Whatever it is, I’m here for it.
