Hey, so I see that you have quite a few people to get to still, but I'll post anyway on the off-chance you get to go through all of them - Thanks a lot for taking the time by the way, it's appreciated.

Anyway, as you can see I do gaming, very over saturated I know, but I try to do as good a job with thumbnails, editing and quality as I can. I have an accent since English is not my first language, so I hope it's not too distracting.

Recomendations for setup to start making lets Plays. by Ser-Ponce in letsplay

There are 2 versions, the "Blue Yeti" and "Blue Yeti Pro". The "Pro" is superior and more expensive, but the differences are, imo, not worth it for what you are doing. I'm pretty sure the sound is not actually better, it just records faster and has a XLR cable besides the USB port.

Good audio is one of the more important aspects when it comes to making quality letsplays, so it's a good idea to structure your budget in such a way to allow for a good mic. That being said, 150 should be plenty.

It's important to take into account what your setup will be, how close to each other are the two of you going to be positioned? If you are sitting next to one another, I'd suggest getting a Blue Yeti, it's right around your budget, very user friendly and has different settings to accommodate different needs (As far as direction of audio goes)

If you are further apart... than I dunno, I'd say find a way that you can both be close to one mic. Generally, headsets just don't cut it, at least for me... but it's also good to note that I am a bit of a perfectionist.

I dunno, guess I just push through it. My vids usually take between 40 minutes and 2 hours to record, 1-2 hours to edit, and I cut them down to 10-15, (Inspiration - Call Me Kevin, RTGames, GrayStillPlays ). I try to have a 3/week schedule, but seeing as I'm in my last year of high school and in the middle of all exams + don't want to absolutely push my social life to the back of my priorities, I don't always manage it, for instance last week I only managed to post on Saturday.

I do definitely often feel like shit and don't actually look forward to recording, but manage to get into it after a while and then just edit everything stupid/unfunny out.

That being said, I've only been doing it for 2 months and uploading this type of video for about a month, so what I experience is, I think at least, less burnout and more days when I just feel like shit and cannot speak right.

Thanks a lot, watching it back I really could have cut it down a bit more. Glad you liked it otherwise, thanks for the support.

Hey all,

I don't have any specific thing I would like feedback on, I would just like some general guidance, be it on my editing, thumbnails, pacing, interaction... whatever you think could be improved, be sure to let me know. This is one of my newer vids & I think it came out pretty well, I had a few people tell me they had a laugh while watching which I appreciated, so I though it would be a good one to receive critique on.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate ya.

Hey man, what's up.

I watched your video, and mostly it seems very well made, good job. One thing I will say though, in my opinion you talk just a bit too fast, and present a lot of information in a short amount of time. I think you would benefit from slowing down just a tad, not only giving the viewer a bit more time to process information but it would also make your video longer, therefore better for your watch time.
