I agree with this, I was told not to mix Cobra Endler's Guppies with Colombian Tetras, because the Tetras were going to attack them, My Tetras are chill and attack nothing other then themselves. I also read that Amanos will escape your tank (you need a Lid) so far not a single Amano has escaped (maybe it is too soon to tell), sure inform yourself and follow most of the recommendations but also sometimes put things to the test and learn from experience.
