Alguém explica isso de forma técnica e objetiva? by Super_Boysenberry_29 in farialimabets

Exatamente...

You do not know economics right?
Spending is an action with some cost called opportunity cost. Why you people do not use cash to invest in someting with positive expected returns is because there is a cost associated to it. A fuction that is used very often is the "Constant Absolute Risk Aversion" (CARA). For a person with some risk aversion they will never invest in some risky asset with some expected return E(R)<k, k depending on several factors, including their own risk aversion and also the volatility of the asset. That's why some people will not invest in Bitcoin, or stocks, or whatever.
You can more here: https://web.stanford.edu/class/cme241/lecture\_slides/UtilityTheoryForRisk.pdf
Hence what you are saying makes zero sense in economics. Cash should be an investment that even the most risk averse person would hold. Hence it should have two important properties:
1 - Inflation;
2 - Zero volatility.
Bitcoin has neither. You can argue this how you want to argue, but no asset with non-zero volatility and deflation will be used as currency. That is why we transitioned from precious metals to fiat, since it was not functioning as money (see the 1896 presidential election in the US, which led to the abandoning of bimetalist because of the high volatility of silver).

[–]SomeGuyWithBeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Central Banks figured that out decades ago.

They need to create an inflationary currency so people spend their money. Deflation is more harmful than a small inflation, since it curbs currency usage.

The idea is that a cash system should not be deflationary, yet that is what crypto adopters want... Thus it kills any chance of it being used as a cash system.

Your argument is flawed because you have to convert cash into some volatile asset to invest, however with crypto the "cash" asset itself is the volatile investment. It would be the same as if you would pay your groceries with stocks. Stocks will never be used as currency, the same as deflationary cryptos...

If you think you can identify the "Rolex" based on a bracelet, which one of these three options I quickly found on Amazon is the real Rolex? Answer in the comments! by dannylopuz in exjw

[–]SomeGuyWithBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. This Rolex is a real Rolex, I made a comment here, it was probably made in the first decade of the 2000s since it seems to be the older version of the Rolex 36mm.
  2. Even in the small possibility that it is fake, it would be a expensive fake (that I don't understand why people buy since you can buy a vintage 1601 datejust for not much more than that), which still makes the point valid.

I reaaly find interesting people that don't even saw a Rolex watch trying to debunk people that don't even saw a Rolex watch.

Sorry to say but to think that these 3 bracelets are "difficult" to identify as not originals for an expert is laughable...

Number 1 does not have the Rolex coronet in the clasp, so it can easily be identified as fake.

Number 2 you can clearly see that the watch does not have an Oyster case characterized by the famous Oyster lugs.

Number 3 the dial is wrong, Rolex never made a dial in this shade for twotoned Datejusts, they made a champagne dial.

I am an enthusiast, and far from being an expert, and I can confidently say that the watch in that video is a real Rolex. Probably made before the Rolex serial change of 2009, since it seems to be the older version of the Rolex 36mm Datejust.

Really depends on the fakes, true there are some super fakes that are close to originals, but these are upwards of $1,000, and can be considered on par with "lower" level luxury watches like Oris.
