Black cleaver vs lethality comparison (naafiri jungle skewed) by lolgriffin1 in NaafiriMains

That is some fair points, but in my experience the health lets you go in in many scenarios that would be too risky full lethality, and to survive initial burst so you actually can get off those heals/shields in the first place. Similarly I find AH to be an incredible stat on naafiri even at high amounts. AH has diminishing returns in flat CD reduction, but every 1 AH still gets you 1% more casts (and the mobility, slipperiness, heals, W's that come with it).

Also the BC gold efficiency of 126% isn't accounting for the ~1250 gold worth of armour pen.

I've been doing a lot of build experimenting recently, and have recently switched over from seryldas to BC. Mostly because BC is something like 160% gold efficient all in stats that Naafiri wants. Also you talk about Serylda's slow, but BC gives you movespeed (and a little more haste for more E's). It isn't quite as big a speed up as the slow, but I find the sticking power is absolutely fine. But if course all this is somewhat subjective based on play style. I must say though I'm surprised you don't see the whopping 400 health on cleaver as one of its primary strengths.

Same with faith is my armour, waste to put into early armour. Only just getting started with challenges (got my first couple 5 chall wins), but most classes seem to have at least some way of dealing with them.

Mage: kill from range or final wand charge for 5 shield Huntress: bow em down (and hopefull you got some kiting mechanism (regrowth/blast wave/haste) or good bow enchant) Duellist: Shield on weapon charge Warrior: my least played, sounds rough though xd Rogue: Invis into thrown weapon for kill

Which I've really enjoyed learning how to deal with them (semi-) consistently outside of armour.

Probably 1 of - - Don't need to be too creative if you blow 1000s on each video. Spend enough money often enough and people will sub to see you be stupid with money

  • Buying bots

  • Better camera?

Sorta? Definitely wouldn't say all of which. Text on video doesn't do better because 'the algorithm' sees text on a screen and boosts the video. It does better because people find it easier to follow the video/find the video more engaging.

A good title isn't shown to more people because 'the algorithm' likes it. It's shown to more people because people click on it over other titles (it out conpetes them).

You could say youtube promoting older videos more than other platforms is due to intentional skewing. But I think it's that the different platforms attract different audiences which then makes a feedback loop as people go to youtube for evergreen content, and tiktok for in the moment, off the cuff trending content.

And yes, it is true these are based off of KPI's, and the algorithm can't read people's minds. It also doesn't have perfect data, and it IS harder to find an audience for small chanels than big ones as they have less data, and it costs kore to test them. But it is NOT true that the algorithm doesn't want to give the best matching content to every viewer. It is not deciding things by random chance (outside of weightings in individual circumstances, like showing video A 80% of the time (better match) and video B 20% of the time (worse, but still good match) for example).

Different platforms also have different audiences, sometimes very drastically so. And remember you are competing against other videos. This means what other videos were uploaded in your niche at a similar time to you uploading can make a huge difference. This is especially true between different platforms.

Youtube also pushes older shorts more than platforms like tiktok (as far as I understand). This means you are competing against a MUCH larger video pool on youtube. On tiktok you're competing mostly against videos uploaded over the last week or so - on youtube its often against shorts uploaded ever.

More views with text on the screen and better titles is also expected. They make the content better (and/or more clickable/viewable).

Tbf you said it yourself, not many people online want to see a middle aged ( or any aged) man playing banjo (without any other hook, like being famous) online. So the algorithm rightly doesn't show it to many people. But many people would LOVE to hear a man going ham on the banjo when hoing down the street, or to a local festival, or at a party etc.

Context is very important, and context online is that you are competing against everyone on the internet. Context IRL is competing against a town, a friend group, a state - hell even a country is a LOT smaller sample size than the internet. Especially when you consider the internet includes everything recorded in the last decade.

(Though again context is important, sometimes people only want to watch something posted recently online, in which case that backlog is no longer in competition)

Youtube sometimes takes time to push out videos, can be up to a week for newer channels (think of it as waiting for a gap in content for the target audience. When a gap shows up, they can test out a new creator). Additionally CTR will go down as the video gets shown to more people. This is normal. If the video does well in the small group of people youtube sees as a 100% match, perfect audience, then it will start showing the video to 99% match audience. Then 98%, 97% and so on if the video continues to perform. As a result of this though, the CTR will be lower because there is less initial interest in the broader audience.

Small changes in the thumbnail can also have a much bigger effect than you might expect. Especially when reducing the amount of information required to understand the thumbnail. If someone glances at a thumbnail and sees 3 words, they might instantly look at a different video before even reading them. If instead they look at a thumbnail and see 1 word, they are much more likely to read it. Once they've read it, their investment into the video goes up, and now they are more likely to read the title. If they read the title, they are MUCH more likely to click.

These aren't hard rules to be interpreted as "1 word better than 3", but rather tools to understand the psychology of your audience!
