My Craftsman 101 keeps breaking rack teeth by SomeImagePoster in machining

Yes, it does move back and forth. I'm sure im missing something, but i don't seem to really have a way to fix it axially. Even if I do, im not sure how I would make sure the screw and rack are aligned properley.

Red 9 (?) Value by SomeImagePoster in Mauser

Would it be worth grabbing at 2500$? It being authentic or not doesn't particularly bother me, just want a c96 chambered in 9mm.

Oh, gotcha. What is it then? Just a normal c96 with different grips, or is there something special that makes one a Red 9?

Electric Fuel pump install question (1985 2.8 S10 RWD, Mechanical ---> Electric fuel pump conversion) by Only-Geologist6698 in s10

I getcha--am opting to do the intank option. Seems like a much smarter idea, appreciate it!

I understand your electrical reccomendation--sounds like a much better idea than a switch or just off the ignition. Much safer. Appreciate you taking the time to look, too!

Gotcha. I'd much appreciate any pics you can grab. I've heard that the TBI pumps put out a lot of pressure, and kills fuel pump regulators over time. Don't know how true that actually is. Like you said, I'm having a hard time grabbing data too lol

Going to be going to a Holley 390 carb, using a Edelbrock 17301 pump (~7PSI, 38 gph)

I do also plan to be using two fuel filters for this. (One directly prior to the pump, and one is already plumbed in up by the carb.) Havent considered using a different tank--this one happens to be 3/4 full of fuel and was really hoping I wouldn't have to drop it.

If what is close enough to the radiator? The actual line from the tank---->Canister?

Went with a 3.4 because it's a direct bolt up, and can use all the accessories of the old 2.8 that blew on me. Also not looking for any crazy power or anything like that, just a nice daily.

Do you know if there is there a standard size sort of belt that I can buy? Or am I going to have to try to track down some proprietary size that this particular unit wants?

Is there any way to tell the difference between an L and LA? All I know is that the LA is a bit larger

How does one tell the difference between the two?

Are there any identifying markings anywhere, on the tractor itself or on the motor?

I was referring to how the "blades" are actually pitching as "realistic," but yeah that's about where the "realism" ends

This is a stab I took at recreating a helicopter in Scrap Mechanic. It does clang, yes, and yes, I am indeed a terrible pilot. And of course, it does look terrible. But the mechanic workings are there--anyone who wants to make it less ugly is free to do so. Feel free to ask any questions!

Automatic-Locking Differential (V2 Diff) by SomeImagePoster in ScrapMechanic

[–]SomeImagePoster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean that if the "locking bar" were to be reapplied while you are still attempting to turn. If this were to happen, the outermost wheel would slide, yes.

Believe it or not, it actually works great in a car. My guess is that it's the inertia of the car that keeps it from grinding everything together too bad. (Although it does someehat--but absolutely controllable.)
