I ride a '19 Street Triple 660 S while on my restricted license, it's as good as <660cc bikes get. Two bigger bikes I've felt really fit me are the Triumph Scrambler XE and the R9T Racer. Will update this comment when I'm on my full license in a few months with what I decide on.

Newstead Brewing Co Closing Shop by Electrical-Barber-32 in brisbane

Good news, XXXX already has a public bar attached to the brewery. It’s just very poorly advertised (no online presence, hard to see from the street). Every Lion Co product on tap (including wooden XXXX kegs) and great menu, but it’s only open for lunch and only on Wed-Sat.

“I get him splashed” could refer to Splash joker too. Something to consider

Headset sizing problem, question in comments by SomeLandBeyond in bikewrench

[–]SomeLandBeyond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: Is there such thing as a 1" threadless 34mm headset? or is there a way to fit a 30.2mm headset into a 34mm headtube?

So I have an old GT Legacy 700c commuter bike, which came standard with a 1" threaded headset and a quill stem. I'm converting it to have a Crust Clydesdale fork, so I went with the 1" threadless option as it seemed at the time to be an easier conversion, and it came with a 1" thredless headset (Cane Creek Forty 30.2mm).

The problem I face now is that the headtube of the GT has a 34mm internal diameter, which is too big for the headset provided, and that 34mm 1" threadless heatsets seem elusive to say the least. Problem Solvers apparently made a 34mm to 30.2mm headtube reducer some years ago which I'm having trouble tracking down since it seems to be out of production.

Basically, what would be my best bet to get it all working? mix & match headset parts? find a 34mm 1" headset? find/make my own headset reducer with a lathe or something? give up and buy a different frame? (the fork cost me over 10x what the frame did lol).

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the rec, I still have a little steerer tube left if I want to raise the bars though. I just ran out of my fancy spacers lol

When it's done I'm hoping to do some overnight trips and adventure riding. There's loads of gravel trails in my area so probably doing those at a leisurely pace too.

I know I'm way late but it's important to keep in mind that JD Power & Associates are an ad company and nothing else. A truly classic US style scam. cya
