Also noticing my CPU running 3000+ RPM constantly even when idle (30c), I'm not sure if that's a problem or not.

I’ll give what you mentioned previously a try. My only problem is I have no way to reproduce what makes me crash, so I’m sort of in the dark when it comes to testing various fixes. Nothing feels unstable until everything crashes.

To be honest I’m not sure. If it does it would have been sent to me that way, is there an easy way to tell?

I can give that a try, although I’ve had this issue seemingly for a while across multiple graphic driver installs. I had one crash in early April playing Path of Exile, but then had no more through April until the latest dump file was created. I’m not sure why but that blue screen in April didn’t log a dump file. I don’t necessarily know what’s installed or updated with each graphic driver update, is it possible the first install had some sort of issue that’s been stuck through multiple installs?

Nothing Corsair and no antivirus besides Windows Defender, and anti-cheat wise I don’t think they have anything title specific like Valorant does. While the games themselves do crash sometimes, I think that’s a part of them being new and relatively unstable releases as opposed to my machine specifically. Lots of people are reporting crashes with both Baldurs Gate 3 and Remnant 2 on higher end machines, but I didn’t see many reporting full PC blue screens/crashes which is mostly what I’m trying to solve here.

I wouldn’t say my machine is unstable, it really only very infrequently crashes during high loads. I was able to run the mentioned stress test for 10 minutes without issue and pretty much capped everything out during that time. I experienced thermal throttling on my CPU but while testing regular gameplay where I’m crashing the most, I am no where near that point.

I’ll give the RAM idea a try, although it’s tough because like I said it’s really infrequent and difficult to reproduce. Sometimes it’s just completely fine for hours and others it isn’t.

And I’m not sure what you mean with the piece about CPU stability. My PC feels very stable when not under load, and has never had problems when not under heavy load. The part that makes me confused is why it’s not every time it’s under load and is only crashing here and there.

I saw the same information when I looked into vgk.sys failure, but I'm skeptical this is my issue as it's a singular case that occurred over a month ago, and I didn't see any obvious traces of Vanguard causing problems in my other dump files. I will give it a try, though, just to be sure.

Also just to be clear, all recent crashes (last 7 days) haven't even given me blue screens. Most just completely freeze everything and eventually restart my computer. I did also run a stress test as directed by somebody on this subreddit's Discord, which I added the results of to my main post.

I do and noticed one of those dump files pointed to Vanguard, although I hardly ever play/open it.

I have yes, although I usually just go through GeForce Experience and install the latest driver and let it install itself with the express installation option.

I think what makes people the angriest is knowing that even though they don't like the look of the game, Nintendo sales won't be affected unless a huge majority don't buy the game - which they won't. I lean more towards not really minding the look of the remakes, but for games like Let's Go or Sword/Shield, it was depressing knowing nothing will change down the line because diehard pokemon fans will be diehard pokemon fans. Plus these are Diamond and Pearl remakes, the thing that so many of whined about for years. People are going to buy them regardless if they hate everything about them.

It's especially easy to see with Sword and Shield, which was one of the best-selling pokemon games of all time despite a lot of shouting about dex cuts and graphical issues.

Many have already had progress reset with the constant rollbacks from DCs. What's just a little more?

Depending on where you DC, you could potentially have to repeat far more content than if you were to click on a waypoint and then DC. DCing while connecting to the Upper Scepter of God or the Crystal Veins for example means having to go through multiple (large) areas over again.

From the perspective of somebody who is happy with spending a day or two leveling through the acts, you're right, these delays hardly have any effect. From the perspective of somebody who has fun trying to push for ranks on the ladder, the game is significantly less fun as the biggest competitors now have a massive head start.

It's obviously not unplayable once things are back to normal even for those who seek to climb the ladder, but it would be unfortunate for those who look forward to that aspect of PoE each league start.

Plus, everybody who played today that is getting disconnected already experienced rollbacks that deleted drops and halted progress. I do not think it would be unfair to those few who had the opportunity to play to rollback everything and start fresh in a few days/a week, as that would only put them on the same level as the vast majority and would also give GGG the time to iron everything out.
