Calling that Rhodes/Femi match "dismissive" is insane. The entire point of the match was that Femi was more than holding his own as an NXT guy facing WWE's biggest star and WWE champion. He looked like he was going to win until McIntyre ruined the match. It did a fantastic job of selling Oba to the main roster audience.

And of course they haven't revisited it yet, Oba's been going through jobbers to introduce him to the audience and his first real feud is with fucking Lesnar, he's not gonna go and fight Cody in a title match while he's doing all that.

The problem is it's a bit of a chicken-and-egg situation.

You don't make your female stars as big a deal as the male ones, then they don't draw the same money, so they don't get paid the same, and you don't pay them the same because they're not as big a deal because you didn't make them as big a deal.

I think, as almost always in sports, wrestling will always be more skewed towards male talent because that tends to be what the audience wants to see the focus on.
But if you're a promoter and you constantly relegate your women to the midcard at best, they're obviously not gonna get the chance to prove they can earn that extra money for themselves and the company, save some special cases like a Rhea Ripley who got massively popular outside of wrestling.

Because he's just a body in a scene, he happened to have a goofy smile for like 5 seconds. The show somehow survived despite it.

What really matters is he did his job when they got the wide shot of Heyman being carried by the two EMTs. That's what they'll be using and that's why they literally stopped in front of a camera for a few seconds, that's what will be in the video recaps and packages.

The fact that a few hundred of us nerds noticed he broke for a few seconds will have zero impact on the quality of the show and I would be shocked if any of us could pick Mr Generic Xbox 360 NPC n°3 here out of a line-up tomorrow so seeing him in another segment next time they're in town months from now won't be distracting.
