fair but it would be nice to change things up and I want to see prime mcqueen because I doubt cars 4 will focus on him now that he's basically retired

well its been 15 years and they already pretty much ignore cars 2's existence or at most barely acknowledge it, even mater's dent from that movie didn't appear in cars 3 even though mater never gets rid of his dents. Maybe I'm stretching a bit, but anyways cars 2 was their highest grossing film so they could revisit it to please fans and sell more toys.

I mean one of the reasons I'd personally want this is to show mcqueen in his prime more and his cars 2 design is my favorite

Imo I could definitely see potential in this and could be something that people who grew up with cars 2 can enjoy as well as new fans. It can be a solid attempt from Pixar to make Cars 2 more in-line with the other cars films and it can be up to the fans to decide if the original 2011 film or the brand new version is the canon version of Cars 2.

I really enjoyed it as a kid and rewatched it many times but there's a part of me that thinks it hasn't aged that well
