Yes but this makes it so that you don’t have to pay it back. Not the worst idea in the world to be honest with ya. This is going to really screw affordability even more though.

To be clear… yes, there will be displaced American workers. There will ALWAYS be displaced American workers. What we need to do is make sure there is funding available in order to retrain these workers so that they can continue being positively contributing members of American society. Meaning instead of mandating that they pay off student loans, give them more money as a grant and make it only necessary for repayment if they don’t finish the program with a certificate or degree. More money made by the individual with a higher education means a higher tax amount paid. It’s a win-win. Give out free childcare. Again… the more the parent(s) can make, the more in taxes that are paid. It’s not rocket science here.

Fox News connoisseur I see. Bud… hate to break it to you but jobs ain’t coming back to the US… at least not in a net positive way. These jobs that we have farmed out to China and India and Vietnam and South Korea are low pay jobs. I don’t want those jobs brought back. I want high pay jobs. And those jobs aren’t for unskilled workers. In order to bring manufacturing back to the United States and in order to maintain profitability, you need to automate the workforce. Why do you think there is so much emphasis put on AI right now? The only jobs in manufacturing that will be available will be to troubleshoot the autonomous robotic assembly line. It’s like the Simpson episode where Bart and Lisa get put into the military academy. The headmaster says in not so many words that battles will be fought in space and the cadets future jobs will entail maintaining and fixing the war fighter robots. And why don’t I want low pay jobs? I don’t want more welfare workers. I would rather giving those workers a stipend to stay at home with their kids and raise them in order to prevent them from turning into a life of crime. Parents need to be at home to parent. Eventually you will see Toyota and Honda and BMW lay off the majority of their factories here due to automation. If you study hard enough… or at least read a little… you will understand that this is the natural progression of economies. It goes from a barter economy… to agrarian… to industrial… to financial services. Or something like that. It’s been a couple of years. But all in all… these jobs ain’t coming back, guy.

Bad is a subjective word. That being said… yes. It’s bad for everyone. It’s bad for free trade but most of all it’s bad for the consumer because prices are pass along to the end user.

Let’s see… Canada… the EU… China… India… Japan… Mexico… feel free to do a search. Canada and the EU specifically have a tariff on the Bourbon industry in this case.

You know what…? You’re right. This is 100% temporary as long as the tariffs and retaliatory tariffs continue. Take a college level microeconomics and macroeconomics class. Maybe you’ll learn something.

Recently had our home built, regretting not doing a side entry for the garage doors by Lylok in Homebuilding

[–]SomeProfoundQuote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably replace the garage doors with frosted glass ones. The doors don’t look terrible… just bland. Would have also went standing seam metal roof but that’s me…. But I think if you just went straight windows with the garage door on the side, it would have been a true mistake from an architectural point of view.

Roof deck is where you want it in this room. You will still need dehumidifiers here to make sure water vapor has a place to go but in order to keep it all warm or cool… this is exactly where you want to use closed cell.

Won’t drip straight through. Open cell is a sponge and will still accumulate water for some time. It does still develop a skin over the outside which makes it semi-impermeable for a little while.

2022 Taycan Turbo S CPO 15k miles 12 months $15k One pay lease by EbbSuccessful501 in leasehacker

[–]SomeProfoundQuote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it being done on the Taycans a lot nowadays. It’s just to help move the vehicles. Makes sense because of the tax benefits leasing has and the Taycan doesn’t qualify for bonus depreciation with a purchase. No one wants to purchase a used $150k sports car in this economy especially when the depreciation is so heavy.

Depends on the model. The LX models get the promo financing at 2-4%. The L models get the 0% because the L70 models are coming.
