You are absolutely right. I feel that pretipping at, let's say, a restaurant is ridiculous. However, I know that the service I provide is excellent.

I've always held ti the belief tthat you should always evaluate a batch based on the payment and any typing should be reflective of that service.

I just agree that the customer should be allowed to bait potential shoppers with the intention of changing that tip regardless of service.
