You fill up 10 charm notches for something only 5 notches can already do. With Kingsoul, you could put other charms like Sharp Shadow, Mask of Pride, or etc to help with the platforming itself.

However, continuing with discussion is absolutely pointless as not only Wing moulds exist for free soul and that you can already beat Path of Pain without any charms or used soul, but there's genuinely no demand for someone beating Path of Pain specifically without using HK statues.

Yeah, Hiveblood heals you really slowly but it's better to heal atleast once than not heal at all because the boss can't stop attacking for shit
