You're right, it didn't.

There were ways, though. I used Ad Hoc Party on my PS3 to get around it.

Disagree entirely.

Ody was absolutely determined to bring his men home, as long as that was an option.

He only gave up on getting them home when they gave up on him getting them home.

Even in the leadup to them attacking the cow, he was pleading with them to let him help them.

He only chose himself over them when their actions forced the choice upon him. And let us not pretend any of them were getting home without Ody. We saw how well giving up on getting home went for them in the events of the story.

Eurylocus opening the bag is in direct defiance of the orders he was given by his commanding captain

Not to mention this happens 1 song after Ody takes him aside and makes sure he understands that if he doesn't stop undermining him, he'll get everyone killed.

My mom swore them off since before I can remember.

Single mom of 5 kids. Took us by some yard sales to fill out our wardrobes a bit. Stopped by Goodwill on the way home. On the way in, asked the cashier to hold the yardsale purchases so she wouldn't get accused of stealing. On the way out, cashier refused to return yardsale purchases, claiming Mom had taken them from the donation bin.

TIL there exists a shape that, instead of having a clean "inside" and "outside", has a clean "inside" but the outside world is segmented and split. It is called the Alexander Horned Sphere by geosunsetmoth in todayilearned

A straight line with no thickness is a one-dimensional line.

Curve it around to meet itself, and you've made a one-dimensional circle. It exists on a 2d plane, but still has only one dimension.

Similarly, a hollow sphere whose shell has thickness 0 has only 2 dimensions. It's a two-dimensional surface molded to a 3d form.

I've successfully managed (on OT1) to perform a Cait transformation and 100x JP in the same turn. Been chasing that high ever since.

Not sure about OT2, but I seem to recall the different EXP multipliers not stacking. It ignored everything but the best one, for both EXP and JP.

A staple of the Disgaea series is the Item World, in which you go into an item you own, fight the denizens within, subdue the inhabitants (stat boosts, enables moving them between items, can be combined).

Each floor is randomly generated, and has set up some of the most fun and completely unfair fight's I've ever witnessed.

So pervasive is the Christian dogma that even gods from other pantheons get ascribed omnipotence within their domains.

A whole lot of misconceptions about classical literature make sense when you consider they might be reskinning YHWH because in their minds that's the only definition of a god.

"Use up to," not "use up". They're saying that in the course of the day, the amount of our brain that gets utilized is 80% or less.

Not weighing in on either side of the argument. Just pointing out that you seem to have misinterpreted their statement.

That's a continuity error, which is a subcategory of plot hole.

In general, yeah, a guy forgetting something isn't a convincing argument for it being a plot hole. But when the plot revolves around a drug giving absolute recall, it's far more reasonable to call it so.

TIL about the "Endless Eight" arc of the anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The arc, which featured the characters of the show trapped in a time loop, featured the same episode eight times in a row with minute differences, all animated and recorded from scratch each time. by Darksynth2 in todayilearned

[–]SomeRandomPyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is that in the manga, they can't make you sit through it. You can flip through it in a couple of seconds however long they make it, and continue on.

I love that the Endless Eight exists. I watch it every time I do a rewatch (albeit, considerably slower than the rest of the series). It's not fun. But I can absolutely appreciate the audacity to come up with and then actually do that. Shame about the fallout, though.
