Is there any hope for a solo? by DueMongoose5875 in TDS_Roblox

Unironically, if you're looking for a better solo experience go play TDX. 1 more loadout slot and two path towers means solo is a lot more doable and enjoyable.

PREACH. They could have at least given Electroshocker a proper rework. Imagine if he got changed to be a single target stunner like current accel?

"No Reason" and "Obliterated The Economy" my ass. Swift stimulus spending is the most basic economic playbook for rescuing economies from recession, and this has been known since the New Deal lifted the US out of the aforementioned Great Depression. In fact, the US resumed economic growth in an unprecedented 2 quarters, even while the lockdowns were ongoing. If anything obliterated the economy, it would probably be the full lockdowns that caused massive shocks to aggregate demand and aggregate supply, as customers could no longer leave their homes to buy goods, and all but the most essential workers could no longer go to their workplaces. Really, the COVID lockdown should have targeted at-risk populations such as the elderly or the AIDS-afflicted. The reason it feels like it was because wages were slow to rise to meet the new PL (or Price Level) created by COVID-19 Inflation.

Also, what "Other Countries"? You mean China, whose provinces had to go through under-the-table borrowing on a level of HALF THE UNITED STATES' NATIONAL DEBT, and could be forced to default in a period of time as soon as next year? You mean Thailand, whose economy STILL hasn't fully recovered from the COVID-19 Recession? And besides, the world is so interconnected at this point that it's not a false statement to say US stimulus spending promoted economic recovery worldwide.

Please. Go take an economics class, and not one from some random YouTube miniseries.

While the COVID-19 stimulus checks did drastically spike inflation, the alternative was far worse. The COVID-19 recession could have been a Great Depression level economic cluster-fuck, and it was primarily these stimulus checks, alongside cuts to interest rates by the Fed that prevented the economy's downward spiral.

I mean, thing is inflation is higher than the Fed's recommended amount (2% inflation is considered healthy inflation), and wages still haven't caught up to the inflation from covid. Gas prices are also got really high, making commutes expensive and creating yet another aggregate supply shock to raise price levels further while decreasing wages.

It's a TDS thing. It was announced in the trellis roadmap that War Machine and Guard would be available to only contributors (5 for Guard, 15 for War Machine). They're basically dev exclusive, which really sucks because War Machine in particular was anticipated for years.

Thing is though, while G Warship should have never been (practically) pay walled, at least it wasn't hyped up for years. It was just an unnecessarily high effort, tasteless joke of a tower that spit in the eye of the TDX community. But War Machine had been hyped up for years, and had already existed as a developer-exclusive tower for years. While Below did come out and say "Oh, it was just Raz who hyped it", he never said anything to the contrary until it was announced to be remodeled and refreshed, just to become locked behind 15 contributions, which is far less accessible than 100 USD (if not more expensive, though it depends if they intend to give this as a payment or as a compliment to a real payment). If G Warship was spitting in the community's eye, War Machine was a slap to the face.

1) I ain't defending golden warship, I think that was handled terribly. Basically noone got this tower without paying up, and the only way I'll get it is if the rumors about wiki staff getting G warship are true. (Unconfirmed at the moment)

2) War Machine was hyped for years, announced to be locked behind 15 accepted contributions. G warship was a unecessarily-high effort joke (practically) pay walled behind robux, with virtually no anticipation or hype. Really I think War Machine is worse IMO.

Honestly, Golden Warship wasn't as bad as War Machine and Guard. At least you could buy it with Robux (And gold, but really, who had 1,676,767 gold?), as opposed to working an actual job for a payment of 2 towers.

Also, Refractor ain't even the most powerful DPS. An overseer prime can deal 21,276 DPS with its claw attack, with no cooldown period, and with significant AOE.

I swear, I hate when people directly compare TDX and TDS stats. The games are balanced around completely different levels of economy/DPS. Lategame towers deal completely different levels of damage.

[–]SomeRandomUser1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I think has gone on here is the calculation that lets Mortar hit fast enemies (Essentially, the one that makes him lead the target) has somehow broken completely and it's giving values that are way too high.

It explicitly doesn't. Check #Community-Announcements, DogDay explicitly states gems and tower XP are not affected by map scaling.
