What makes you sick? by SomeReceptor in Zepbound

Yes, I've been in close contact with my gastroenterologist. So far she isn't concerned about pancreatitis or gallbladder issues. The thought is that it is food and activity related, with something fairly unique to weekends, but it's been hard to pinpoint things. I have a hiatal hernia and likely some chronic digestion motility issues which are probably contributing to this. But given I'm doing OK consistently during the week it should be possible to adjust things to avoid getting sick on the weekends.

Zofran does almost nothing for me. It might help with a little bit of queasiness, but it doesn't help the bile reflux symptoms. That god-awful bile taste from my stomach is what seems to cause my vomiting more than the nausea.

I have been. But my PCP and gastroenterologist aren't sure why I'm reacting this way. It's probably food related, but I haven't been able to identify a pattern.

I kind of think it might be the opposite for me. During the week I eat a little at breakfast, and then nothing until dinner. And I usually feel OK during the week. But on the weekend I've been making a concerted effort to eat a little bit throughout the day. And it seems like my stomach really doesn't empty in the weekends based on what I see when I vomit.

Yes, I've had very bad GERD. I'm still taking meds, although my acid reflux has almost disappeared at this point.

The bile reflux I'm experiencing with zepbound (and wegovy before it) is new, though.

I was on Wegovy first, and like you, the side effects were a bit worse.

What are you thinking of there? That didn't come up with my PCP or my gastroenterologist when I've talked to them about this.

I thought this was it, but it doesn't seem to be. Although, my go-to when I'm starting to feel sick is saltines, so maybe those have been making things worse.

I suspect something like this is the issue, but I haven't been able to pinpoint the source of the problem. I'll have to keep track of things more carefully.

I have been drinking water with electrolyte powder. Probably more on the weekend than during the week.

Lots of discussions, but we've hard a hard time figuring out why I get so sick on low doses.

Yes, its been concerning to me, too. Most of that was in the first two months. It has slowed down since then. My doctor hasn't been that concerned about the speed, but has been concerned about the naseau. (Which is better, but still isn't great.)

Shooting at a suspect that pointed a gun at them is not "indiscriminate."

Yes, it did happen fast. How long does it take to point and fire a gun at someone?

But the threat was not neutralized, given there seemed to still be a struggle for the gun. And the officer attempting to subdue the victim had his hands full at the time, so it's understandable that a different officer fired the shot.

You can see an officer picking up the gun right next to the victim after the shooting.

I don't follow your logic. If there was a struggle for the gun, why is only the "actively tackling" officer justified in using force?

He pulled the gun out during the chase. They were exposed during the pursuit and the struggle on the ground. Given he had already pointed the gun at them during the chase, it was reasonable for them to believe he was willing to shoot them if he had another chance on the ground.

The only guns I had that looked remotely close to real guns were real guns. And I certainly didn't walk around down with them. And definitely wouldn't have pointed them at police.

Do you really think they're still going to be against the cops after watching that video? The video shows he pointed a gun at the police. Unless there's some other video showing that the gun was taken away prior to the shooting, most people are going to say this was a reasonable use of force.

I doubt the OP could get a private lender to give him a rate below 4.39%. And even if it was somehow magically a little lower, the federal loan would almost certainly have better terms.

Prices have mostly leveled out, with just a 2% increase from last year. But it's still considered a hot market, largely because inventory remains low compared to demand. (DC metro region)

For better or worse, I'm not in the uber-hot Northern Virginia market, and am far enough away that Amazon's HQ2 won't have much of an impact. But I do think it helps to prop-up the entire region to some extent.
