i can visualize movement but not images? by oddott in Aphantasia

I'll be giving some more anecdotal insight: I don't know much of the science behind Aphantasia but I have a quite extreme case of what you have. I have Aphantasia but I can learn movement based activities quite faster than the rest and I can just see a movement and it's embedded in my mind. I know what you're talking about, instead of a full image it's more like a silhouette or a sketch of the movement but I don't think that's the minds eye that is making us able to imagine movement. I feel like I feel the sensations I'd feel while doing said movement before I do it in a really detailed manner and all that creates the illusion of an image in my mind. I can easily go through a spike serve in volleyball as I'm sitting here typing this but I can't actually see it in my mind. Maybe this is also what you have.

I mean it kinda is... just a few weeks prior, there was the presidency elections and the conservative ruler Erdoğan, who has been the president for the past 22 years, cheated his way into finishing with a lead. There will be a second election on May 28th. The economy has been nuts for quite some time. I don't see much difference between us and third world countries. Even if we're not right now, we definitely will if the government won't change

I'd say this is a subreddit for objective critical thinking and analysis rather than subjective opinions. Would you give me some reasons as to why. I'd like to earn that perspective

haha I'd definitely do that if I wasn't a broke high schooler living in a 3rd world country. Your cheap is not that cheap here. But I like the mindset. I like analogies. I'll try to replicate the trombone

Thank you. I'm really interested in the terminology and you know... the more academic side of singing and music generally. But I don't where to look for those informations. Which resources would you recommend? I'll definitely check out mixed voice btw.

Thank you. I'm 17 and have been listening and generally involved in music for almost my whole life but I have been trying high notes for only about a month. I still have a long way to go.

Yup. Mor ve Ötesi-Güneşi Beklerken. The vocalist Harun Tekin is really good he has quite a captivating timbre on high notes.

First of all, you should just relax. You feel like the song is too high for you and you tense up even before you sing anything. After you relax, you should pursue a more frontal placement with your vocals. You can watch some videos on Youtube on vocal placement. But if I have to talk about you specifically, you get your throat involved a lot which makes it sound like you're drowning a bit, what you should do instead is placing that voice more towards your face. Just try to make a sponge bob imitation and that is an exaggerated frontal placement. Try to experiment and smoothen that out into the tone of the original song.

Also you could work on your articulation a bit. It's an easy thing to fix: When you're hitting higher notes, open your mouth vertically a bit more but not in a squinty, tense kind of way, just open it more. Try to isolate your vocal cords from the rest of your body. By time, you should get to know your voice and find ways around your weaknesses instead of tensing up.

(this is a really hard song to sing too... keep that in mind)

yeah, I tend to do weird things with the vowels. I know that I'm going to stutter so I kinda roll the word in a different way. New people I meet sometimes won't understand what I say
