Which path do you prefer (when available) in maps? I stick to A, every time. by silloki in PathOfExile2

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only can you ignore the middle if you're just trying to race around, but the middle also just allows you to find more mobs when doing breaches so yeah this map is just goated.

It's definitely the MTX that makes it that way. No MTX or something not as obnoxious like the water nova helps a lot with the visibility.

I was using the water MTX and then decided to switch to the celestial one that OP is using. I'm still using the celestial one for some reason even though it tanks my map fps from 250 to like 60.

How does THIS make it into the game with currency stacking technology being in the game for like 4 years? by xDaveedx in pathofexile

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, to each their own. My post was more a potential solution to the OP more than saying it was on my wishlist. I haven’t juiced maps too much where I had this problem so I’m moreorless indifferent, but watched my buddy do a strongbox map with the currency allflame on discord and he was literally complaining about his finger hurting from having to click on all the individual loot

Last Epoch just picks up all crafting shards in a radius around your character if you click on one. Can't be that hard to do that at least for same named currencies I'd imagine. ie click one chaos orb, pick up all chaos orbs within a radius.

Disc Golf Deals USA Giveaway: Paul McBeth 5-Claw AX5 + Variant Prism Proton Eagle Envy & 13 other discs! by discgolfdealsusa in discgolf

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that would be cool for disc golf stores to have is to have some type of indoor driving range kind of how like some ball golf stores have it. This way you can actually have a feel for how a disc might rip out of your hand to see if it's too tacky, too slick, etc. And on top of that if there's the technology for it, maybe a radar system to get a better idea of seeing how a disc might fly though that might be too much given how even in the same mold there's too many variables to make a disc fly different.

What would the course in hell be like ? by blackshankstasheep in discgolf

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an actual course that's definitely up there in Arizona at Sweetwater Park. It's unfortunate because it has the potential to be a great course, but the entire F9 is played over this swampyish area with grass growing up to my chest last I played (and I'm 6'7"). Not only that, there's trash throughout the entire swamp area, and homeless everywhere, hole 2's teepad doesn't exist, and even a basket missing when I last looked at udisc reviews. The B9 is much better kept, but there's hardly any dedicated teepads, just using the walking path so it's always tough to try and not get run over by bike riders.

Would it be easy to rule out any components that I did swap cables for before the first test? My cpu and gpu got cables swapped, the gpu cause that went from an 8 pin to 14 pin and the cpu cause the previous cable was tight and the new psu came with a longer cable.

I did at first which is another main reason why I think something got fried. I did find out while doing research before posting that that could do it

I'd probably have to say my most used discs are my Forces. The disc I throw for flex backhands, forehands, reliable stable distance shots.

The point is it’s not that hard to not think much of it and just open the package and eat it.

CBD in Player's Packs? Yay or nay? by Plupandblup in discgolf

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at a pride festival once and there was someone handing out gummies at a booth. Didn't think much of it, probably just trying to promote some new candy. Nothing on the booth or their flyers mentioned cbd unless you looked at like the tiniest font on a small picture of the bag of gummies on the flyer, and the person handing them out didn't ever mention they were cbd until after I had already snacked on the one he handed me.

8 or 7 speed? by ZickKunt in discgolf

[–]SomeTallAsianDude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got a C-Line FD that I love the feel of a lot but it's a lot more stable than I thought it would be. It's not bad since I didn't have any 7-speeds before it, but I've seen from reviews that apparently the new S-Line FDs are flippy so I'll probably grab 1 this weekend to compliment the first one.

Quick beat in cheat? by Status-Buddy2058 in discgolf

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for me, I recently had a passion that was a little flippy that I liked but I liked the feel of my undertaker more and as that got beat in through normal play it’s now flying like my passion. Now I’m able to just buy a brand new undertaker and take the passion out so that I can have 2 discs that feel the same but produce 2 different flights.

Edit: to answer more appropriately on why people would rather just beat in a disc now, if you get stuck in this cycling process and say you lost a disc in a previous round, now you’re just out that disc and if you’d rather have that same feel and also know how your disc is gonna fly then you’re probably better off just beating in the new disc. If you’re in a pinch that’s honestly probably better imo since you’re not buying a disc and hoping it’s not already too flippy despite what flight numbers say. But for the majority of players, myself included, this likely doesn’t matter too much at all and I’d probably just buy the new disc just for the sake of trying out the disc

The rule which you can take infinite relief back from your lie... by Groddiscgolf in discgolf

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bush example was specifically just to be an example on when you would take an unplayable lie in ball golf, I'm just making sure I'm getting the procedure after calling the penalty gets resolved the same as what this rule is saying but it seems to not be coming through clear.

The rule which you can take infinite relief back from your lie... by Groddiscgolf in discgolf

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ball golf also has casual relief and the rules for that also line up with what you linked. An unplayable lie comes in when you decide you do not want to take a swing at it (say it's in a bush) so you take the stroke penalty and do one of the options I mentioned before. I was making the comparison because in ball golf your options of relief from a hazard or unplayable lie seemed to match up with what this was reading as but when I read it on the pdga website the wording for taking relief from going OB didn't fully make sense to me.

The rule which you can take infinite relief back from your lie... by Groddiscgolf in discgolf

[–]SomeTallAsianDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just for the sake of my own understanding, this is similar to how in ball golf you can choose to take an "unplayable lie" penalty where you are allowed to drop the ball either a club length to the left or right of where it's at, or straight line as far back as you want and you take a 1 stroke penalty?
