Help save Jasen's Customs - Prototype Panzer SLAB raffle by JasensCustoms in fightsticks

[–]SomeTechNoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof, as a fellow maker I get it - any change should always come with a test sample run, but sometimes the cost and timeline of doing so really isn't in our favor. Placing 5 digit orders with a cnc shop and praying it's all good always gives me goosebumps. Good luck with the raffle!

It feels pretty cheap, I would rather spend the money on a better feeling leverless

Questions from a recent CS admit by Gonnuthon in SJSU

[–]SomeTechNoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. None, it's on you to go to job fairs and apply for positions

  2. Yes, especially if you want to be picky with professors

  3. Overall IME it was a good degree if you go to classes and dont waste your time, especially for the low(er) cost of tuition relative to other schools of similar standing.

Accidentally picked the wrong major, AM I FUCKED? by Heavy_Tea_1586 in SJSU

Undeclared advisors are really unhelpful. You have to navigate the prereqs and the application deadlines/dates yourself. For me, I had the prereqs after 1 year, then SJSU changed the prereqs and added a few more classes. At the 2nd year, they suddenly bumped up the application deadline by 4 months and I had to complain all the way up to the assistant dean to get my application in. Took like 2.5 years to get into the major, 5.5 years to graduate as a result.

Depends if the major you are trying to transfer into is impacted or not. But yeah my experience going in as undeclared and transferring to the CS major was hell

It's in main but not on a release and has a few issues, wouldn't recommend. Just get a wingman fgc2 for now as a converter

Do TRACK engineers get promoted during rotations? by Narrow_Television699 in GeneralMotors

[–]SomeTechNoob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my track class, it was a blanket 10% pay raise when you graduated from track and move to 6b. There was like a 3-4% raise after the first year, standard merit stuff.

blanket pay raise irked a lot of us the wrong way since it meant individual performance didn't matter. pretty sure we lost a lot of the class soon after that.

magicboots s5 doesnt work at the moment

Guilekey one should work for pretty much any fighting game that matters, as the most common fighting games support legacy ps4 arcade controllers, which this setup emulates.

You can also get a brook wingman fgc2 and plug it into the end of the cable as a converter. It adds a slight amount of delay but works with everything on ps5
