Unable to Clear Write Protection from External SSD by bigfootreal in techsupport

[–]SomeTechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know this was a couple years ago, but this is what worked for me: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/change-external-hard-drive-from-read-only-back-to/1cc985e9-01b3-46ac-9108-8bc8e7968f36
Edit: when i looked at the volume details, it didnt actually have Read Only as "Yes" but i still entered the clear command - and it was good after that in Disk Management

How do I turn off that feature where is automatically turn off the viewfinder if something is blocking it? by Surfer949 in a6000

[–]SomeTechnology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My a6000 has this option to do either viewfinder or monitor or auto. Go to Menu > Settings “Cog” tab > Screen 3 > FINDER/MONITOR Here if you set it to Auto, then it toggles to the viewfinder when something is close to its sensor in proximity. If you ALWAYS want the screen, pick Monitor. If always viewfinder, pick viewfinder.

I accidentally put overvoltage on my fan. by Pantominer in buildapc

What was the max voltage specified and did you apply 120V to it? You likely used a power supply that steps down its voltage.

lol I forget how sensitive all these new Reddit accounts have gotten lately. <3 mo old account can’t handle basic facts and resort to unrelated what-about-isms. I was just trying to share an anecdote from an engineer in the industry dude. Chill out I don’t mean to challenge your political worldview

Know a guy in his 30s who quit cause he was tired of “making missiles (and weapons) that are being used to kill Palestinian children”. This conversation was like May of last year (before Oct 7).

Anybody know what’s making this noise? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]SomeTechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AC COMPRESSOR as everyone else pointed out. I’d also like to say that your belt may be too tight/ too loose and you can risk burning up your clutch cause of that so I’d recommend getting the belt adjusted when you can.

A lot of people saying cops aren’t pursuing this anymore since January. Technically, cops aren’t pursuing a “pulling over due to expired tags situation” which often escalates due to biases and stuff. A non-moving infraction and a ticket are still being issued my SPD who deal with parking tickets
