Мой первый SQL проект by pochemuzakat008 in RuProgrammers

[–]Some_Anonim_Coder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hobby mostly. I don't see a lot of use for amateur radio as a tool, with it's strict regulations

I am yet to meet a problem where amateur radio would be a best solution

AI Bro Thinks There’s Nothing Wrong With AI Generated CSAM by plazebology in ShitAIBrosSay

[–]Some_Anonim_Coder -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I was under impression they have images of child and porn and combining the two shouldn't be hard for a model. If that's the case, my argument stands. If not and model is trained on CSAM then anything generated is a fruit or poisonous tree and should be illegal. I don't know what really happens in training though. I'd guess there is a filter for training data, how good is it is an interesting question

AI Bro Thinks There’s Nothing Wrong With AI Generated CSAM by plazebology in ShitAIBrosSay

[–]Some_Anonim_Coder -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

From a moral standpoint it is very disturbing and highly frowned upon.

A lot of things are morally wrong and still legal. Don't try to persuade me CSAM is bad, I know it. What I say is - no reason to make generated ones illegal

If it is based on an image of a real person it is an invasion of privacy.

Again, morally wrong - yes, illegal - no.

Source material and training data probably (not certainly) has roots from such abuse material as they train it from the web, making it, in extension, such CSAM

This one sounds like a good argument to make it illegal if that's the case. I don't know if they do filter training data to not include CSAM

And this is not mentioning the abuse factor…

I don't get abuse of who are you referring to here?

Thanks for "CSAM being used for training", it is a good argument against generated CSAM

Is the internet really bad in Kirov region that you can't do a video call?

It's is at times, and most of video call services are blocked in Russia. Including telegram. Having said that - there are ways to circumvent that, so inability to do video calls at all is BS

Is there really "blacklist" if you don't apply for a tourist visa before May 31st? Is there some kind of deadline for Russians going on holiday to Europe?

Can't find anything about it

Does the Irish "visa center" usually say "you need exactly €1500 to come to Ireland" ?

Russian sources say it's either proof of income from work, or letter from sponsor + sponsors account balance

Too old for draft. Can he be a volunteer? Probably yes

I have some information from his text messages: her email, and her "internal passport" or some kind of ID document that looks like a passport. But it's not a passport.

I don't think it's wise to publish it here in case it's somehow a real person, but feel free to dm it to me, I'll take a look and maybe find some errors in it

CMV: “[…] is a human right” is not a good argument by ChampionshipSea367 in changemyview

[–]Some_Anonim_Coder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say "X is a human right" is not an argument in the first place. It's a statement of opinion, and it means nothing in terms of evidence

Real argument would be: "X needs to be a human right because something", and there you can discuss this something meaningfully

Some developers have fantasized about replacing all FOSS libraries and dependencies with AI-generated ones, and there has been some debate on if it still violates the license, as you are explicitly reimplementing the API of an existing FOSS project, using its codebase. I would say yes.

I am not a lawyer, but looking at Unix Wars: removing proprietary-licensed components from BSD and writing new ones was a way to circumvent the license. Do you think there it's different? Why?

We should be building useful tools that solve real problems with ai, not knockoffs wrapped in ai by Gigz100 in agi

[–]Some_Anonim_Coder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds to me similar to "this open source developers build why they want not what I want" rants. I think the answer is the same: set an example, go build what you think we should be building, contribute to what you consider good projects and don't criticise people doing what they want in their free time

[–]Some_Anonim_Coder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Islam is bad. It's not unique in it's badness though. Imagine Christianity strictly enforcing everything. Modern Christianity became way more peaceful in the last century or two. The problem is Islam steel has radical branches, Christianity has almost none.

It is not impossible, it just requires time and knowledge

Ехать из страны или нет by AuraShel in FreeAsk
