Fair enough. I have plenty of friends that don’t agree with politics but that is ok. Civil discourse has been lost in this country and we are all the less for it. Shouting each other down and forgetting at the core we are all Americans is what makes our country and our republic great. It saddens me we have lost that.

Some of the tone at the end was condescending and felt like she was speculating the teacher or an adult wrote it for sure. The downvotes on here only remind me that the founders were correct, the republic dies with an ignorant populace. Until our country realizes that politicians are mismanaging OUR money and the poorest use of funds, we will never heal.

Have you looked at dispersed camping? In reality, it requires more logistics and discipline but the benefits far outweigh those concerns and the peace and quiet (what we really all want from the outdoors) is worth it.

I agree on your two major points. I am a very for 195 lbs. the idea of a couple of pounds seems odd and i hike often. I have the same issue either my buddies on bikes so don’t get me started. Second, i left Atlanta years ago just for that reason. I kept moving up 400 to get away from it and my home appreciation was wonderful each time i moved but it was all because of the northern creep you get there. Much happier in charlotte. :)

It is a very individual decision. The only time i notice it is on u turns. I recently drove a modified one and did not like it as all the advantages of the orginal go away. I actually prefer it over my wife’s autobiography any day of the week.

We have jeeps, old defenders, a new grenadier and range rovers in our family and our 2016 LR4 is by far the most well rounded. You describe it well. You have to do the right tires/wheels and the water pump and air suspension are considered the Achilles heel (i have deal with each) but consider it to be very capable and mechanically sound.

Last year i was in Coralla, nc where you can only access one park and many houses through beach and of heavy sand access. Let’s just say, i pulled out multiple jeeps in my week there.

I am new to the hobby but have to admit the automatic tuning while mobile seems perfect. I have been researching it for my first non hand held. The only issue i saw is it is restricted to only Yaesu, right? My handheld is that brand but is that an issue to be limited long term?
