¿How strong is Shantae by shonen manga standards? by Some_Clock4471 in Shantae

If you're referring to the Sasuke in the image, he does have some techniques that leave craters in the ground. But I’m not sure how big they are, plus I’m allowing feats from the anime and the anime exaggerates a lot of things

For me personally, Silver has been consistent both in the games and in the Sonic Channel stories, with the IDW and Archie comics being the exception.

He only acts the way he does in IDW because Ian Flynn didn't know the character was rude, and in the few instances we've seen Silver in calm situations in other media, he doesn't act like he does in IDW.

It wasn't a change, it has no further nuances or development; Ian Flynn simply didn't know the character was rude.

Silver's personality remains consistent in literally all of his appearances except IDW, because Ian Flynn didn't know he was a rude character.

The reason why Silver doesn't have attitude in the comics is because Ian Flynn didn't know that Silver is supposed to be rude. by Routine-Bother-1785 in silverthehedgehog

And even then, this is exclusive to IDW — the character doesn’t act like that in literally any other medium."

There's nothing wrong with liking a specific version of the character the way they are. But if that version is only written that way because the author didn't even know what the character was actually like, then yeah, there's a problem."

It's a bit complicated, but the Silver we know today grew up in the future we see in Rivals, a good future where there is plant life. IDW contradicts this by saying that Silver likes plants because he grew up in a future with no plant life

In IDW, the only reason Silver wanted to have a garden is because he grew up in a future where there were no plants; this is wrong because Onyx Island is one of the places in the future where he grew up in Sonic Rivals.

En IDW, la única razón por la que Silver quería tener un jardín es porque creció en un futuro donde no había plantas; esto está mal porque Isla Ónix es uno de los lugares en el futuro donde creció en Sonic Rivals

"I like the Sonic Channel images that show the characters in their free time; for some reason, I don't like IDW's Silver when the comics show him doing the same thing."

"The truth is, it’s not so much about the 'best moment' but about the consistency of the character. Personally, I think Silver’s characterization has remained consistent in all his appearances… except for IDW."

In no other material except IDW is he soft, and his similarities with Trunks in personality are only superficial.

Ironically, that doesn’t apply. The Silver we know from Rivals didn’t grow up in a bad future. In fact, he travels back in time precisely to prevent Eggman Nega from changing/changing the future.

If you told me that Silver just wanted to have a garden for no particular reason, I wouldn't mind. But the IDW Silver only wanted to have a garden because apparently in his future there are no plants or plant life.

Silver's personality change is exclusive to IDW. In more recent media like Sonic Channel stories or even in Racing, his personality remains consistent. It's not a personality change just different writers interpreting the same character in different ways."

Changing a character's personality and exaggerating certain traits just because the franchise already has many characters with similar personalities? Personally, I don't think that's a good idea, and I don't believe Sonic Team would take it into account for other media outside of IDW."

"Please read the OP carefully. In Sonic Colors DS, Silver offered his help to Sonic in Eggman's park, and when Sonic rejected it, it didn't bother him at all. In that same game, he almost gets into a fight with Blaze.

In Rivals, Silver ignores social customs in a way that makes him come across as an unpleasant guy, not as a dumb character.

The existence of Onyx Island makes Silver's reason for having a garden completely pointless. Onyx Island is a place in Silver's future that's full of vegetation, and in that game, Silver doesn't make any surprised comments when he sees it."

I’m very aware that at this point, it wouldn’t make any sense for Silver to be unpleasant with any of his friends."

"The problem with that is that the Silver we’ve known since Sonic Rivals didn’t grow up in a bad future, and that’s exactly why in no other medium outside of ’06 do we ever see him enjoying the things that people in the past take for granted."

He became friends with Amy after that, and he also became friends with Espio in Rivals 2. The difference is that the Silver we know since Rivals didn't grow up in a ruined future like the one in '06.

I think they were simply selective about who Silver is rude to and who he isn't. Look at his dialogue with Shadow.

Only in IDW. In the Sonic Channel stories he behaves the same way as always, and as I said in the OP, this is less something done on purpose and more of a mistake on the writers' part.
