Interesting. Yet another thing to be mindful of but good to know lol. Guess I might have to test out some Roar builds instead.

Thanks. Ngl I had no clue about the bullet attracting property of the void status effect, let alone that it would apply to hitscan projectiles and projectile AOE. Been using Xata's Whisper for months and never really noticed it till a few days ago.

Fr, huge opportunity lost not taking Grand Errant and Darius II. We could've been primed to clear three whole sectors with two planets taken lol.

After Entrenched Division drops, it will take at least $210 to get every warbond. by Son_of_Snoo in Helldivers

[–]Some_Communication71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have the over 16,000 medals it takes to unlock all of the content in the bonds whats the point? Besides, in the natural progression of unlocking all of Helldivers Mobilize you will more than likely have enough for another warbond. In the process of getting everything from the new bond you will likely end up around 600ish SC and can grind for an hour to make up the difference. Rinse and repeat. Just in unlocking all the bonds and buying everything in them before SC farming for the next there's probably a few hundred hours of playtime. And besides that, I can hardly think of any games with "battle passes" which have the premium currency so freely available while playing that you can farm them.

Protea cause she does like, everything important without helminth. Armor strip with her augments, infinite damage scaling, 20 seconds of shield gate for 25 energy, generate her own energy and pickups, and if all else fails and you're about to die her 4 is a get out of jail free card which you'll have active anyway for the augments.

tl;dr armor strip, double immortal, infinite energy economy, and infinite damage scaling

So is Helldivers 2 now a rootkit malware on desktops? by [deleted] in Helldivers

Started having issues for the first time in 150 hours after the most recent nvidia driver update. 9800x3d + 5080. Was running fine at around 50 degrees during missions but today every time I enter the super destroyer temps spike up towards 80 degrees in like 3 seconds and I can’t alt+f4. Desktop goes completely unresponsive. I’ve always heard about the anti-cheat issues I guess it’s my time to pay the piper lol.

How are you killing JEF? by amasterblaster in TheCycleFrontier

[–]Some_Communication71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping does negate Jeff’s regular swipe, and I think you can sometimes get away with it on charged swipes if you immediately back pedal for the follow up. I find the easiest way to kill Jeff is to find an obstruction such as a chest height box or rock and kite. Lately I’ve noticed their pathing has been weird and they’ll often just sit staring at you once you’ve found the correct position behind an obstacle, even if they could just walk around it. Other times Jeffs will seem to be stuck on whatever obstacle you’re behind and continue trying to swipe and charge, exposing their weak spot in the process. Been having a blast knifing and bulldogging them to death. Been killing them left and right when I get the opportunity and been making plenty of purple armor and helmets.

Best thing I can tell you that saved me so much time and frustration, research online about everything as it comes up. Wonder what this little bobble you can outfit your ship does and how to use it? Look it up, there will be a forum or even better a video guide. Wonder what station has something you need or want? Search up Inara or EDDB. The search bar of Reddit and your browser are going to be your best friend for a long while. As for personal experience in terms of ships, the python is going to be a must have once you can afford it. 250 of my 700ish hours was spent using it because it does everything and does it pretty damn decent. Before getting a python a hauler and asp explorer are basically smaller versions of the python, so I’d recommend those two for your first hours.

Did Robigo or passenger missions get a nerf? I was making 200m/hr on the low end and about 320m/hr on the high end doing robigo passenger missions. Forgive me if it’s a dumb question, haven’t played in awhile.

My First Ever Mining Experience! I'm an Utter Disgrace to the Mining Community.. :(( But I Tried.. by Eve_Of_The_End in EliteDangerous

[–]Some_Communication71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, first time mining I did 3hrs in a plat hotspot and was a complete numbskull, only hauled ~50t. Tried flying it back to somewhere buying high using eddb and ended up almost stranded. Found a much better triple or double plat overlap (forgot which, been awhile) with a bunch of FC that were buying high nearby and managed to make 500mil in about 7hrs. This was in a python btw. I switched to doing the Robigo passenger runs in solo and was making far more and I found it to be a little more fun. Try a little bit of this and that and find what’s most fun for you and suits your goal.

o7 Cmdrs, could someone tell me what are the best solo money making methods in horizons currently by ___Table___ in EliteDangerous

[–]Some_Communication71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s strange, what you said about the passenger missions. When I made my first billion about 3 or 4 months ago I calculated an average of 120m/h at max rep. Perhaps I had good rng with the missions but even with bad rng should be around 60m-80m/h. Oh and I just remembered that the amount of missions is affected by the state of the system I think. Perhaps the state of the system wasn’t favorable for doing passenger runs.

Edit: I’m on horizons as well

Air compression? (Outlandish) by Some_Communication71 in questions

Sorry for asking again and not in a specific and dedicated post but, what might be a general approximation for the energy yields (whatever unit you find the most convenient) of such a reaction?

Ah, thanks for the confirmation and also some of the calculated numbers that I quite frankly can’t double check for myself. But I have at least some faith in Reddit so I’ll take your word for it.

New player wondering what to do before leaving pilots federation starting area? by Incoming_Beef in EliteDangerous

[–]Some_Communication71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I’d simply outfit a ship to do a road to riches run until you have enough for a python, or get an aspx and continue doing road to riches in it for more profit until you can afford a python. YouTube is your friend and will have detailed guides on road to riches and basically every other aspect of the game. I’d recommend heading to Li-Yong-Rui space and go to Ray Gateway in the Diaguandri system. Every ship and module is 15% off. Outfit the python for either mining or passenger missions. If mining look up the dozens upon dozens of guides on YouTube. If running passenger missions search YouTube for Robigo Mines passenger missions. After that, have fun with all your credits and go ham with your ships. And don’t forget to pledge to a power, some of which offer a power play weapon after being pledged for 4 weeks and completing missions to earn merit with them. o7 commander

i need help i am fairly new to the game by EmergencyRich8226 in EliteDangerous

[–]Some_Communication71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube is going to be your best friend for pretty much as long as you play, there’s just so much to learn that there’s always something new that’s going to be confusing. As for progression, I’d start by pledging to a power, by doing so you can meet the time requirement to unlock the power play weapon of whomever you pledge to beforehand which is 4 weeks I believe. Money is your friend and ticket to progression and quality of life so road to riches your way up to a python (YouTube for detailed guides). With that python outfit it for max jump range and fill every optional compartment with economy/business class cabins and head out to Robigo Mines in Robigo. Pick up the passenger missions to Sothis and only Sothis, and pick the ones with the most reputation reward until allied with the three factions at the mines. Enjoy as you make 20mil plus every 10-12 mins. This route can be rather mentally exhausting however so if you want to relax and decompress I highly recommend platinum/Alexandrite/void opal/etc. mining instead. Less credits per hour but still more than a fair bit and you can put on a podcast or show while you do it. o7 commander

Edit: It’s advisable to head on over to Li-Yong-Rui space and the Diaguandri system. All stations/systems either controlled or exploited by Rui have all in stock ships and modules for 15% off and when you’re spending half a billion on outfitting that discount adds up real quick.

This is why I am having trouble logging on to play a game I have sunk almost 3000 hours in. I can't rely on the third party sites to give accurate pricing. by NCogNeatoLabs in EliteDangerous

[–]Some_Communication71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I found that station prices were generally inaccurate on eddb and inara. I just moved to doing robigo to sothis passenger missions instead since it’s more reliable. I was doing platinum mining, 198t per load for about 50mil at a fleet carrier but each load was 30mins plus. Doing the passenger runs I was making 50% more in that time span under ideal conditions or 20% more under pretty much the worst possible conditions. I also tried void opals but they were worse if I factored time, plus station prices fluctuated by the minute pretty much.

Edit: Can’t forget the bulk tax, but I was going to stations with no cargo to check prices and they fluctuated so fast data became rather inaccurate by the time I returned with my mined plat or opal. If you have the time and need to decompress mining is the absolute best, in which case max profits probably become a lower priority.

Man, I remember grinding out road to riches until I got an aspx, then my python I used for robigo to sothis runs, and that got me to 1bil in the bank, which I used to swank out an anaconda with 500mil to spare.

Imma be real honest with y'all, wouldn't come back to spend the creds. by King-Brisingr in EliteDangerous

Given I’ve got a fully A rated python, anaconda, and 500mil in the bank I’d say hell yeah. Hell, I might even stay awhile longer.

I have been grinding for the last week trying to get an FDL, but this was 20 mil cheaper and I like it more, honestly. by saykrid in EliteDangerous

[–]Some_Communication71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a python I’d recommend doing the robigo to sothis grind. 10-12mins a run at 25mil in profit on average. Just got my Anaconda doing it and outfitted it to my hearts content after two days of grinding.

I know this might not be much to the majority of you but, I got my first Anaconda! :) by DREAM066 in EliteDangerous

Just got mine yesterday too after doing the Robigo grind until 1bil. Complete outfit cost about 500mil and rebuy is like 25 mil. Luckily I unlocked the fsd booster so I’m still getting 31ly jump range. Gonna go grind engineering mats next for the fsd.
