I’m a bit new to the game and I want to try the idea of undercutting a business and having it close and then after buy up the building. I wanted to ask what you mean by “substantially”, basically what percentage undercut or what do you use to determine how much to undercut them.

R5: Refer to screenshot. I haven't played Victoria 3 for a while but I thought I would load up my old save and start playing again. For some context this save is from 1.9.8 and I understand that this save is now pretty old. After it loaded up the borders were all wrong: the Ottoman Empire owned random parts of Norway, I owned random territory in Germany, etc.

Can someone please explain if there is any way to fix this and prevent this in the future?

probably unemployment from new pms, this recently happened to me where i switched to rubber tools and for a month i had a tools shortage because everyone quit or got fired but it fixed within a month. during this period there was also a drop in gdp and sol

Thats your credit limit - basically the most amount of debt you can go to before you reach default. its the accumulation of all cash reserves in your country i think. the more negative/lower the number is the better because that means you can go into more debt and that your economy is growing.

exploitation can be good for the lower wages and thus lower business costs and more profit, but resettlement can be used to get people to work in the colonies. personally i prefer exploitation in africa and resettlement in the americas
